Mary is a fantastic vocal teacher. Her mannerisms are quirky sometimes, but it helps with learning the material and techniques. It's important to be prepared for her lessons, and to not slack off with whatever piece or assignment she assigns you. She knows what she's talking about and she will get you where you want- given your effort in return.

I loved her... She did a great job teaching, and she was always available for extra help whenever I needed it. The class is very boring if you're not into music, but she is hysterical, especially when she talks about her favorite musicians, or puts on one of her CD's! IF you like music, take this class!

She is completely capable of being a ****, but she lets you know up front what she expects, and won't settle for less. As a voice minor, I feel that my singing has improved immensely in the two years I have studied under her. Her techniques, while sometimes difficultly applied to males, do work, and overall, she's fairly good.

some would say she's too easy or that the class is boring, but you have to have an interest in music to really get something out of it. i enjoyed having her as a teacher very much, and learned a lot in her class.
