You need to STUDY to pass her class as with any other orgo class. But I didnt find her very helpful outside of class at all, very limited off. hours and always a line, so she just wanted to get you out. Get notes from someone else,a s she writes everything she says down and study on your own

im a chem major and i can tell you that boyd is one of the best chem teachers in the department! she is so clear and to the point, her tests are not that bad, you just have to KNOW every homework problem like the back of your hand..its not too bad, just study, study, study..thats the way to get orgo

HER TESTS ARE sooooooooooooo easy....you have to KNOOW IT!!! Those who say it's hard obviously don't know what they're doing. I showed my test to a friend taking Crumrine and he said it was a joke! she's cute too:)

There's no such thing as "hard." It's called lazy...it doesn't matter how much you study...not getting an A?? WORK HARDER....it's not the teacher it's you! Anyway...class is challenging prolly 5 hrs/day. Boyd has 1 day office hours that sucks....but when u catch her she's excellent help..GL i got A!

she rocks plain and simple. even though i have a C, she is one of the most caring teachers who actually takes time out of her lectures to tell u how to study. TAKE HER! Her lectures are well-organized and actually have a point. Boyd's the only chem teacher i actually like!

If she doesn't like you, you won't pass...you won't just not do well, she will find a way to fail you. She actually refused to grade a student's final exam once, and failed the student! Why do professors like this go into teaching???

Dr. Boyd has a ****ly attitude, but her tests are fair. She outlines all her notes and it is a really helpful aid. I think she is a great teacher for Organic Chemistry

Don't need to attend lecture, but get notes as they are good as outlines of material. VERY moody, did not seem to like males and/or minorities (not just me, but others I talked to as well). Very judgmental. Take for grade (I got A), avoid her attitude.

Okay I'll be as honest as possible. Yes, she is hard, but that's because organic is a hard subject, her explainations though are the best. I never read the book her notes are good. For premeds it's the best! Doing HOMEWORK is key OR ELSE YOU'LL FAIL!!
