Dr. Smith is incredibly nice and genuine. He is respectful of everyone and is the only person in the department that is open to the idea that he can learn things from his students. He has real world knowledge of geography and knows an expert in what he teaches. I wish he would teach all my classes.

I love this teacher! He's always telling good stories and he's easy to get along with. His class is pretty easy but I don't see how Geography can possibly be hard. He's fun to talk to outside of class. Only thing I didn't like was his attitude that because he has tenure it's like he doesn't have to teach to the best of his ability. oh well.

Contrary to popular belief, Dr. S is smarter than you all think, but despite that, the class is VERY, VERY easy, even if you are awful at geography. I have never had as many classes cut short or cancelled before at ONU. Easy A, unless you continuously skip class and put in less than no effort.

I really wanted to learn something in this class, but I think the prof has given up on teaching. The class is easy, but you don't learn anything. It's very pointless. Dr. Smith seems to know a lot and could be a good professor...if he'd try. Don't expect to get assignments back in any reasonable amount of time either

I can't understand how people could not like this guy! While he is very quiet, he is a genius. He tells lots of stories which you can relate to the material. He is quite a joker and he likes to go off on random topics. He is a great guy, and very intelligent. He made Geography a fun topic.

Dr. Smith talks about nothing but his own personal opinions during the lecture time. These personal opinions were on topics that has nothing to do with physical geography. The only thing that I learned in his class is the fact that he has ten year, and believes that ten year implies that he no longer has to be a good professor.
