Comment:
Evans was a very sweet lady, tough in some ways and very lenient in others. Be a good student and you'll earn her favour and the benefits that come with that. Some of the assignments were kind of confusing, but she was more than willing to explain if you asked. Class was kind of boring, but that wasn't really her fault. Memorable class.

She is can be rude to students who are slow or don't understand, although she does try her best to help. Mandatory attendance, or you'll miss some kind of homework that she has assigned. She's a hard grader on papers, so be wary.

I took Ms. Evans for English literature 2. She loves literature and helps you to understand it. She wants her students to succeed and will help you any way she can. She is available outside class and responds quickly to email. The class is different and worth it. Take her!

This professor was very knowledgeable in American Literature, but did poorly when it came to engaging the class. At the end of the day, we were talking about dead dudes, so I feel like the information is already a bit lackluster. Not that professors are required to entertain, but talking at us is different from talking with us.

Very nice person. Lots of writing and reading, but that's to be expected from an English class. There's around 4-5 essays and the final research paper/presentation. The essay requirements can be a bit confusing at times. Overall I took a lot away from the class as she gives very good feedback. Best English teacher I've had so far.

Professor Evans is a nice lady, but she was not my favorite professor. I am the type of student that tries the best that I can. I strive to get good grades, but she is a tough grader. The instructions that she gives for assignments are confusing. It seemed difficult to please her.

I took her class online, it wasn't very difficult, however it was A LOT of work. Lots of reading and discussion posts every week and a research paper and oral presentation at the end of the semester. I didn't expect that much work, but overall not bad. Sometimes the instructions for assignments were confusing, but she did give good feedback.

not good with directions. doesn't read a whole paragraph before criticizing, even if you did exactly what she told you to do in the next sentence.

She's a nice woman, but she is incredibly unclear with directions and then gets very annoyed when asked for clarification. I ask her to clarify essay instructions and I get a different answer every single time. She is hard to follow when she talks. She took points off of my one assignment because she didn't understand her own instructions.

You will work for your grades. Very harsh grader. A lot of poems and short stories are read for homework. Her essay instructions are never clear. I never follow what she says in class. Never enough time to do lab questions or in class essays. But she does offer a lot of help for paper corrections to resubmit but hardly ever gives A's.

Ms. Evans is a tough grader, so be prepared to work for your grades. She is willing to help outside of class if you are struggling. My main complaint is that she is very unclear- understanding what she wants can be a bit of a challenge. Outside of that, she is very sweet and patient with her students.

She makes me cringe. Her directions for assignments are twice as long as the assignment itself and I spend half my time figuring out what she wants. They're the kind of assignments that make you want to bash your head against a wall or just drop the class. I never knew 50 minutes could drag on so long. I've never hated a class more. (I'm a 3.8GPA)

Very nice person. Class can be boring, but much of that was due to the subject (English lit.) Pretty easy grader. If you do your work a B is guaranteed . If you try, an A is pretty easy to obtain. Highly recommended

Professor Evans is very nice. She's always willing to help and makes herself available for students. She is a reasonable grader but didn't give many tests/quizzes/homeworks throughout the semester. She is kind of boring but overall a good teacher.

I took this class online and overall its an okay class. She assigns a lot, I mean a lot of homework. As long as you are able to keep up and read then you should be fine. Her grading is pretty harsh so make sure you explain, in detail, your existence if that's what she asks for.

I read the reviews before I took this class-decided to take it with her because I have always gotten A's in english. This was a terrible idea. All of her dates still said September when I took it in the spring. The dates that were for the correct semester were never consistent. There is soo much reading. 10-12 hours spent each week on this class

Good teacher, but may be more than you are ready for if you are not an English major. I took her online and it was just as much work and time as an on-campus class, which basically voided the point. She looks deeply into the subject matter and expects you to as well, which is hard unless you love poetry. Very helpful and a fair grader.
