Mary is SOOO helpful. The work is intensive and there is a lot of it but everything she teaches you will help you for the rest of your writing career. As an english major, I had to work my butt off, so if you hate writing or English, I do not reccommend this class unless you plan on taking it very seriously!

Mary is great. Lots of assignments, but they are super helpful. Took this class instead of jumping into ENGLISH 110, and I'm glad I did. Mary teaches the basics, which most people don't know. This class will help you write all of your college papers.

Mary is the BOMB! Be preapared to put in a tremendous amount of time and effort into this class. There are 4 essays and a final. Top notch short essays will be read throughout the semester. Good grades will not come easy but are attainable. Of all classes that I have taken here at CYMCA, this class is truly the MOST EDUCATIONAL.

I thought Mary was wonderful, and I'm sorry to see that some people didn't like her. She is strict and critical in her grading, but is good about praising good work and being encouraging. If you want to **** your way through college or are looking for an easy class, don't take her. If you want to write and learn how, she's the one for you.

Mary is an excellent teacher! She is very clear about her instructions. Since this class is difficult, you must take it seriously. Mary is always willing to help you improve your writing skills and I would love to take another class with her.

Please don't take her for your own sake. She's the biggest hypocrite in existance. She says to never be late under any circumstance, and shes always late....always. She assigns WAY to much hw, and trust me I know whats reasonable. She also takes forever to grade assignments, so you dont know what to improve on. Don't make the same mistake I did!

I'm in her class now and she's made writing so fun! My whole life I hated writing papers but now I could write about anything and of any length. Participate in class, do homework, and really put some effort in your essays and you'll be fine. kinda sexy!
