I see a lot of negative comments but she's a great professor. There's so much extra credit it's hard to fail. The tests are tough but if you put in work and study it's fine. I enjoyed her class and am taking her again. She's super nice. class consists of maps, quizzes and exams.

Comment:

Dr. Graham is a very nice person who will help you as long as you ask. Her study sheets are long, but she gives you the essay questions. Use the class notes and textbook to study. Map assignments are easy, and one is all extra credit. Lots of extra credit available, I had C on the tests and left the class with an A. Show up to class to do well.

I absolutely hated this teacher! I am a straight A student and got a 2.0 in this class. Everyone I know from this class failed it or dropped it. Only take this professor if you have a photographic memory, because you'll need it.

horrible! Hardest class I have ever taken, she has completely unrealistic expectations regarding what she expects you to know, considering it's a gen ed class. Her tests are IMPOSSIBLE, she doesn't give notes, and doesn't talk about anything related to the test. She WILL help if you need it, which you will. She's a nice lady, but the class is awful

Dr. Graham seems to be an experience, knowledgeable professional; but this class was a killer for me. The entire class period was always full-on dry lecture; on the bright side, she tells an interesting story occasionally. The tests, in particular, were horrible for me. The review sheets consisted of hundreds of concepts that needed to be memorized

I didn't think I would like this class at first because her voice is monotone and it didn't seem interesting. But she's actually a really nice lady, and she gives so much extra credit that it's really hard not to pass. Her tests are kind of difficult, but the points are easy to make up. I really like Dr. Graham and I wish I could take her again.

Super nice lady. It's nice to know some professors out there have a good heart behind their teaching. Before this class, I had no interest in geography but after having her, My interest rate has risen. Her tests are very difficult but she offers extra credit opportunities. I will always remember her.. one of my fav profs by far!!!

I love Dr. Graham. She?ll be the prof I always remember from YCP. She is so intelligent. She enjoys discussions with her students and her homework/projects are all really interesting. I took her for North Amer and Met Dev. I wish she taught more classes. She makes me want to contine to study geo at the graduate level. Great woman/excellent prof!

Awful professor. I am a straight A student, and I'm pretty sure I got a C...there was a point that I was actually failing Graham's class. You take 3 multiple choice/essay exams and do 5 map quizzes. You have to buy the maps yourself for 73 cents. AVOID.

"DR" Graham is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE prof!!! her teaching style is completly lecture and not good at all! She has a mono tone voice which just makes everything worse! She does maps as quizes and even if you are a fraction of a centimeter off she will take points away... AVOID HER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved Professor Graham. She was extremely helpful. I missed 2 weeks of school bc I had the flu AND then my grandfather died during finals. She was very understanding. I really appreciated it. She def knows what she is talking about. I found her class very interesting. I learned a lot. Take her!

After spending 3 semesters with her here is my assessment of her. She knows a great deal of facts, however her lectures lack substance. She knows little about the actual study of geography and If you ask her a question sometimes she is unable to answer it. Take Fyfe instead. Also, do not buy the book!! It is essentially useless in her classes

Although prof. Graham knows what she is talking about, this class can be very difficult if you arent familiar with geography or you dont have a really good memory. I have both of those so that made it easy for me. If you dont have either of these than I would avoid this class.

If at all possible do not take her class. Unless you already have a great understanding of geography, the class is extremly hard. She is unclear about the material you need to know for the tests. She pulls out random facts and expects you to know it. One plus is she does offer a ton of extra credit.

Nice lady once you get to know her but not a great teacher. Too much information to absorb and to unorganized in the beginning. By the final the notes structure will be clear but hard in the beginning to follow. Hard grader and the project is difficult. I would suggest her for her knowledge level but not teaching skill. I'll never take her again!
