She can be very boring to listen to and go off-topic here and there but her 20th US History class is very easy. Textbook isn't needed at all, and her tests are basically summaries, which is very easy to do. Attendance is important and lastly she uses a point system to grade which is good because you'll be able to track how you're doing in the class

Professor Finnerty's classes are just her giving lectures of the topics she posted on blackboard and in class she can be vague at times but you can tell she loves the subject and she will go in depth in certain topics and will make sure everyone understands the topic. Her class is simple, show up and take notes and participate when you can.

Nice lady but loves jumping from topic to topic. Very confusing. Very vague most times with what topics from what she posts on blackboard weekly. You will need attendance, to show your notes, or participant in class to gain points each week that are incorporated into your grade. For any reason she will take them away as well which is redundant.

Nice lady but really should stop jumping topic to topic because it gets confusing. She should really stop being so vague with what topics are on the weekly tests we have. Going to class seems like a waste of time but we need attendance points to pass class with a good grade.

Might be the hottest professor to ever grace the hallowed halls of academia. Inspirational, passionate about history, brilliant. I am in love. Finnerty is a history student's dream come true.

Prof. Finnerty is a real sweetheart, she grades accordingly and just. Do the work and readings she assigns and you will be A ok! Prof. Finnerty really has a knack for Western Civ and by the end of the course you will know this subject inside and out!

Professor Finnerty taught me history back in the 90s and she was such an inspiration to me! Her eccentric teaching style taught me that she had an infectious passion for the material she taught. She brough Western Civ alive fo me and her classes/lectures reflected this. She engaged us as students. A teacher w passion in her field is a rare gem.

Oh My God, what a doll, she gave me hope that you can pass after 2 failed history courses with some rough round the edges profs. A bit odd but shes good/ok. For the course you need to visit 2 museums and get like 5 facts about them. besides that we had on midterm and one final. no quizzes in between except for evaluation which didint count . but shes very nice. very smart. but does need to learn on how to stay focused. jumps from topic to topic. overall easy class.

Nice lady, favors the kids who fail over those who want to earn an A, but if you read you will be alright, quizes are right from the reading, just skim it the day before, an your guaranteed a good grade, they make up your whole grade anyway.

Mary Helen is awesome. She has a great way of bringing the history off the page and animating the characters for you. The quizes are not bad but the tests are pretty tough. Some really obscure questions are on there just to see how many times you read. But it is history, after all.

She is very nice, but sooo boring. She seems easy going but every week you have to outline like 30 pages and then take a test of only seven question every week.
