There is NO such thing as an excused absence according to her. If you have a note for being in the hospital for a week, too bad. It doesn't count and you can NOT make up any missed tests!

She was fair at times, but it was very hard to know what was going on in her class. She ended up changing a lot of things throughout the semester. Also, do the speeches and never skip your day to present, because it's best not to. Take notes, and keep in mind that this is the only Speech class that you are required to read/have a book.

She didnt know what the hell she was doing! She was changing things last minute. Not answering my questions for me to be able to be ready for my speech AT ALL! I would suggest to drop or dont take her class before its TO LATE!

if your a typical "I DESERVE A GOOD GRADE JUST FOR SHOWING UP" type of kid you will struggle HARD with her classes lol. you must work hard and give all your effort and you will get a B or higher grade. giving speeches is hard; but its a good chance to really improve on being shy, quiet, and being able to talk to a group

I received no grade lower than an A and she still gave me a B as a final grade. She is not helpful at all and makes speech class more stressful than it has to be. I would NEVER take a course with her again. Extremely boring, and is very uptight.

TERRIBLE. I did every speech and received an B or higher on all and received an incomplete in the class because she claimed she didn't get my last paper. You have to send her everything 3 times (minimum). She also doesn't remember your speeches. She once asked a student when he was going to make up a speech (one that he had done the class before).

Kate is pritty hard, she expects the best from everybody. There are no perfict scores and she is the only speach communications teacher that gives out TESTS!!
