Knows his field very well.Week at explaining. Very helpful with homework if he likes student. Horrible at exams, poor grading, and extremely difficult exams. If you take his class, make sure to answer exam questions on both the handout and on the scrap-paper. Circle your answers, double check after he gives tests back, he makes grading mistakes.

Pr. Butterworth is awesome! Had him for Pre-calc. Barely used the book, just look over the notes that he posts on his site. Be ready to hear: "Is everyone okay with that?" many times throughout his class.

Oh man if you like hearing about his German wife Elvira and like to learn about English pronouncation in Math class than thats what you will get. He's not too helpful with questions, he just says "Well, what do you think?" or "Ooh, I don't like that..."

He was always helpful when I needed help on soemtehing. If you have problems at all he is always going to b e there to help you and won't act like you are a bother to him. This class was taught on a computer but he still gave you a lot of help when you needed it. :-D
