Dr. Kiker is awesome! She cares for students, just let her know if you need help. She gives a lot of HW in mindtap, I took Business Communication over the summer. The test are straight from the textbook, if you skim the chapters & complete HW you will do fine. The presentation is fun, resume/cover letter, & compose 1 email-all EASY!

I took this on-line. She uses Mindtap software. If you stay current you should get an A in this class. She answers emails very quickly. The homework in mindtap can be a little tricky, the grammer is easy (do the one in Mindtap), the writing is not bad. The tests are straight from the book. Dr. Kiker is a wonderful professor and a huge asset to AUM. I had her for business communications and I really enjoyed myself. The papers weren't hard and the assignments weren't bad. The tests were kind of tricky, but she definitely works with you. If you let her know something she will go above and beyond to help. Just loved her class!!!!!

Dr. Kiker is a very good professor. You have to write a 4 page paper, 8-10 page paper, and three tests and a final. She drops the lowest test grade and curves (gives extra credit for coming to class on certain days) . Her tests are difficult if you do not study but if you study your book and the power points you will do good!

The class overall is pretty easy. However make sure you proofread your papers, she loves some commas. Also for the test all you need to do is read the slides and anything extra she said while going over the slides. Should be a fairly easy A if you put forth any effort.

Dr. Kiker's HRSM 4610 has 2 projects [1 fairly easy, short group project and 1 longer individual project (around 8 pages)], a few small assignments (most were completed in-class), and 2 tests. The tests are based on the PowerPoints & class notes, so the book is not really necessary.

She says that all you need is her powerpoints for the test, but when you study them half the items not even on the test. She make scenarios in which you have to apply the info. Which makes it hard since because you haven't studied that way. She is very particular about the way you write it which you will receive a low grade. But get the book!!

Don't listen to the scary stories about her or her grading. Everyone at my table made an A without the final. Tests arn't to bad, just read book and attend class. One group paper and presentation, and one short individual presentation on any manager you interview.

This Class was fairly hard if you study your notes and pay attention in class. Pray you'll do fine. Group work is pretty hard, but not as hard as her test! Good luck, b/c no one else teaches it!
