Comment:

She is the best english teacher I ever had. Her class is super easy as long as you do your work. There should be no reason for you to not get an A. Attendance does matter but if you got a good grade and she liked your essays she would not lower your grade. Def TAKE HER CLASS :)

I feel asleep in class every day, she is boring to listen to but the class is easy.The only problem I had was with every essay or two bit writing piece she would tell me to go to the writing center which was more time than I wanted to dedicate to the class.

I took an online class. I found her directions VERY clear. A few little mis-spellings here and there, but it's because she's constantly revising what she teaches. (I know, because what my wife learned was dif than my class.) She doesn't phone it in with the same subject matter one semester after another. Be ready to work and learn.

Took her Comp II class online and i hate english but she made everything really clear. She definatly does not just give away As but if you try she recognizes that. Everything is clearly marked when it is due and she gives reasonable amount of time to finish it.

She really cares about her students and TRIES to help if you ask questions. She gives helpful advice and let's you know when/if there are resources. If you are not mediocre and listen to your professors, take her and you'll get a good grade, and be prepared for higher level English.

Don't know how McQueeney could be described as "heartless," I had some of the worst luck I've ever had and as long as I let her know in advance she would accept my late work with minimal deductions. I had a flooded house, sick baby, husband was in a terrible accident. She never made me feel that I couldn't go to her and ask for more time or help.

Took Fall 2010. I know what the previous reviews are talking about. There was one assignment that 40% of the class failed because we were confused about the directions (not 90). We all discussed it privately. Lots of people wanted the teachers head and have her fired. The teacher gave us a chance to redo the assignment. She is fair and just.

I have been out of school for 14 years and DREADED the thought of taking a writing class. Did I hit the jackpot with Dr. McQueeney!(I'm actually going to miss this class!)She is easy to understand, uses Angel(which was my saving grace!), is super helpful, and is just an all around great professor! If you go to class and participate, you'll be fine.

Heartless. Another student's infant was hospitalized for a week and was given no empathy, just an F. She had to find another professor to continue. She bragged about also teaching at KU (online). Run...far away from this woman...Quite disorganized and cold, unfeeling. Into teaching only for the pay check. She doesn't care if you learn anything.

She is godawful. She is a terrible online professor. I get good grades on the papers, at least when I can figure out the date that they are due. I will be complaining to the dean and recommending she be removed from her online classes. I cannot tell you how angry and frustrated this woman has made me over the course of this semester. Avoid her!!

The subject matter is better than some english courses I've taken. But she is really useless in an online environment. Instructions are unclear, then if you email her with a question she responds quickly but pretty much tells you to read the instructions. I'm pretty sure if 90% of the students fail an assignment, there's a problem..

I took her compI in class and comp II online. Her classes are boring but she is really helpful. If you go to class and listen she makes the papers really easy for her students. This is the worst professor I have ever had! My first paper I got an A on, the second she flunked and then told me to rewrite. When I asked to meet with her to discuss this and get a better understanding, she refused. She was not any help whatsoever! I do not recommend this professor. The counselor suggested I drop, I did! She likes few students.
