FlSP 2010 is a tough course, but Prof Winkler is such a nice lady! Definitely attend class, read the book, and do the online labs. There are lots of opportunities to help your grade, also. Overall a great professor and I'm pretty sure she curved our final!

Comment:

Winkler is an amazing lady! However, you have to self teach yourself most things. Luckily if you mess up on a few assignments, they don't have much weigh. Just make sure that you get an A in myspanishlab. She always helped me out and was understanding. I would take her again.

Comment:

Winkler is a decent professor, however she doesn't write her own tests or quizzes, which I found were the hardest part of the class. The department doesn't allow for extra credit at all either, although it's easy to make an A on oral presentations and other projects. The final is only worth 15 percent so make sure your grade isn't relying on it!

Comment:

Señora was an awesome person, but the way she taught the class was kind of difficult. She goes through notes super quickly but she's willing to work with you outside of class if you make an appointment. All of the students in my class liked her. Attendance is mandatory and you need to participate! Homework is done online and is kind of a pain.

Comment:

Mrs. Winkler is very helpful, so nice and loves what she teaches! She's very fair, but she doesn't make the rules. The head of the Spanish department decides what's taught, tested on, assigned, etc. If you have a friend in the course with a different teacher, it's all the same. The way the class is set up is frustrating, but Mrs. Winkler is great!

Señora Winkler is a great Spanish teacher! Her class is hard work, but truly helpful in learning to speak, write, read... The rules on attendance and late work are incredibly harsh and might make you cry at times, but remember it's not Señora Winkler's fault, but the department's fault. Quizzes are harder than tests!Overall she is a fair grader.

She does a good job at making the class interesting (as interesting as a spanish class can be) but make sure you talk at least 3 times when she does participation because that goes into your grade and she doesn't say that up front. tests are kinda tricky...there's no word bank, and DO THE MYSPANISHLAB. Overall nice teacher, easy to get a B at least

LOVE her! She is so sweet and makes the mandatory attendance bearable. Tests are a little difficult, especially vocab there is no word bank. My Spanish Lab is a HUGE part of your grade. Always complete your assignments! They’re easy just time consuming. Grades oral exams and compositions easily and fairly. Participation helps you greatly!!!

If you're good at Spanish and you work hard, you'll do well. This class is a lot of work, but it isn't grueling, it just takes time. Be sure to participate in class so you get participation points! Mrs. Winkler is very sweet and approachable and explains things very well. If she knows your effort is high, she'll love you. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Her class is far from easy; there's a lot of work involved, but Dr. Winkler is so friendly and helpful. MySpanishLab sucks, but that isn't her fault. She's quite lenient. Make sure you participate 3 times or more for the points you need. You get what you put into this class. I had to work hard but still got an A. It's possible.

Sra Winkler uses a lot of games to teach the vocab which is fun. Myspanishlab is the only really annoying thing and the tests are easy as long as you know the chapter content

Sra Winkler's class is very simple and easy as long as you have a decent spanish background. Everything is very straight forward and she uses a lot of games in class to help learn vocab which is much more fun than a lecture. As long as you do the online homework, this class should be no problem.

Take this class if you are fluent in Spanish. She does not teach, she assigns class activities throughout the class period to avoid teaching at all costs. I met with another teacher for a few hours and learned so much more then I did in her class the entire semester. She does not seem interested in what you learn whatsoever. She dresses really cute

Winkler's class is pretty straight forward. Spanish is hard in general and the tests are by the book. You watch a lot of pointless youtube videos in her class and play a lot of the same repetitive games every week. She uses a lot of celebrities in her examples which helps relate it to college life, i guess. She's really nice but a HARD grader.

I loved her. She is one of the nicest professors. If you have trouble, just go talk to her. She really cares about her students. I had a C throughout the semester. I went and talked with her and came out with a B, which is what I needed. She's a very harsh participation grader though.

Knows spanish pretty well for a non-native speaker. Very nice, but didnt really teach as well as I would have hoped. Myspanishlab sucks, and its hard to participate in class which is a big part of the grade.

Do not take her unless you can understand Spanish completely. If you have a question, she explains the answer in Spanish, so you get no real clarity. I did a study session with a different Spanish teacher and learned more in those 2 hours than I did all sms with Winkler. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

DONT BE FOOLED!! This lady grades extremely hard on homework and participation even if you do your hw and talk everyday you still will get a C maybe a B in participation which is a big part of your grade if you are lucky she wasnt all helpful and the test were very hard(but thats not her fault) I recommend you take some1 else!
