I took her online class during winter semester. It was fun, she is really nice and inspirational. Each week, we had to be online at a certain time and participate in an online discussion and answer questions (live). Each week, we had to type a page long synopsis of the chapter. The midterm and final were very hard. Book mandatory, cannot pass w/o!

shes very honest when stating her opinion on your project, which is excellent for art majors. when going into that class I knew nothing about computer programs. which was fine. she knows who the artist are and shes way tough on them vs the ones who are just taking the class for credit, like me. very easy A.

Dr. Rachford is very nice and is very passionate about art. The class itself was very boring. You have to show up to class and work on your projects in class. It wasn't for me. I withdrew but on the projects I did before I dropped I got an A so it's not difficult!

Took this class because I wanted to learn how to draw and it was called "Beginning drawing" I sucked coming into it and got much better (she didn't think so). I was so proud of myself because it was the best I have ever done :( I should have gotten an A for effort & improvement. If you are good a drawing take this class. if you are not good, don't.

A very cool instructor. Definitely from the hippie generation, she is very loose about rules. Not strict at all. I found the class easy because I already understood concepts about how to draw. A few others may struggle as she doesn't teach one on one and may get left behind and feel lost.

The only reason I took her class was because someone recommended her to me. Waste of time, I learned very little and anything I did learn I had to teach myself. She was very unclear about the projects and when everything was due and would frequently not tell us the 'rules' until we were finished and had to redo everything.

Dr. Rachfor is AWESOME!! She is full of knowledge and experience. If you do your work, show up, show effort you will pass no problem. Do not make her mad! She's got a lot of fire then!! She's such a wonderful person and so good hearted. If you disrespect her and make her mad then your just a jerk!

The best thing about Maryann is that she has a ton of real world experience she brings to the classroom and is extremely helpful with questions. She is very relaxed and will help you as much as you want to help yourself. Although she is laid back don't waste a semester gliding through when she is a bank of useful information!

Extremely helpful. I learned so much and the class was so much fun. There is work involved but if you want to learn you have got to do the work and it is worth it. I highly recommend her to anyone who really wants to learn about art.

Maryann's great. I took her classes for over 2 years from 2000 to 2003. I completed several art courses, digital media, as well as web design. She is fantastic. Her classes were ALWAYS a blast and she has one of the best personalities on campus. With what I learned, I'm now a graphic designer and hold many of my own business clients. :)
