Mary Beth Voltura is awesome! Her lectures are very interesting and she understands most are not Bio majors. Review sheets are given and the tests aren't that bad if you study. Online homework once a week and extra credit given if you attend class and have a clicker. Would definitely take her again

Amazing professor! If you put time into studying the test are easy. She gives extra credit too which boosts your grade up a lot. Super nice and make bio interesting. Highly recommend if you need to take BIO110

Offers extra credit points but you need 75% attendance in order to receive the extra credit but attendance isn't mandatory overall. I would recommend going since theres a lot of info Do the review sheets she puts up before tests. I didn't do them for the first 2 tests & got 50s I did it for the 3rd test and got an 80. Also makes you stay whole time

Comment:

She's great! She's extremely helpful and honestly the best professor I've had all semester. Her study guides are extremely in depth so they help a lot when it comes to studying for the next test. She's funny and is really there to help you get a better grade. The only negative is she makes us stay till the very last second but it's not too bad.

This professor treats us all as if we are biology majors. Her lectures are uninteresting and difficult to understand, putting on top of that tests that are tricky and impractical for a freshman level class. When the class average for a test is a 65% she refuses to help with a curve. Would absolutely not recommend this class or any class with her

She's very knowledge and you can tell she really likes teaching bio. She offers extra credit opportunities with a clicker and it can help your final grade by a few points so don't miss this opportunity. Tests are fair, I would definitely take her for your bio professor

Dr. Voltura is a very knowledgeable woman. She is always available outside of class if you need any help. The class is a lot of work and there is a lot of information to memorize. Go to class as much as possible, start to study for tests a week in advance. She makes the material as relatable as possible to everyone in class. Would take her again.

I enjoyed taking biology with Professor Voltura. She's very intelligent and she will make sure you understand the subject before moving on. There's a few papers in class which I think is odd for a biology class, but they're not difficult. Tests are hard but as long as you study you should be fine. She gives extra credit for attendance.

Although I am not a good science student Dr. Voltura made Biology make sense. Her tests are fair although slightly difficult. I like that she understands that biology is not my major and tries to make it as interesting as possible. Make sure to get a clicker for the bonus points because they help. There is no reading needed and little homework.

Professor Voltura is a great teacher! ill be honest the class can be hard and boring. The homeworsk are very easy, they are done online and you can easily access your notes so you should have no problem doing them. The test can be difficult go to her office hours its worth it! Show up to class you get EC clicker points that will help a ton!

I love this professor. She is absolutely there to help you succeed. The class is hard and I have all faith that because she was such a great professor she is the only reason I am getting a B in this class. I absolutely would take her again. She takes up the full lecture time but only to get through the material. Definitely a great professor.

She is a great lady, but the lectures are torturous. She uses every last second. Attendance isn't mandatory, but she offers extra credit everyday if you go. I am not one that is into bio, but she makes it easy enough for me to put up with it, however, you gotta study or you're screwed.
