Dr. Lottman clearly knows what she's talking about. She gives you lots of background info to understand the literature. You must pay close attention in class,& not miss any days if possible because she covers so much material. She sticks 100% to the syllabus. There are 1-2 formal papers and 1 oral presentation, but she is a fair grader.

I took her for intro to literary analysis. You have to read the story/chapter before class because she gives random pop quizzes on the readings at the beg of class. 3-4 exams & 2 papers. Exams are pretty ok, consist of 1 essay + fill in the blank vocab. Pay attention in class bc that will help with the test. Class can be boring, but overall shes ok

She is what a Professor is supposed to be like, she is helpful, highly educated(she got her PHD from Princeton, she deserves some credi!!!) She still helps me to this day with recommendations!

she is a good teacher! there is a lot of homework but it doesn't take long. she helped a lot with verb tenses. if you already know some spanish you are golden, if not you'll still do fine. if you don't care about spanish or any other language, deal with your ignorance before you take the class!

This was a perfect example of what a grad level class should be - I got out of it what I put in. Dr. Lottman also continues to keep up with me and offers help with my classes now. Don't take this class if you're a whiner and expect teachers to spoon feed you information.

She is a good professor and she knows what she is talking about. She has problems sometimes with her spanish, however, her group work and assignments are helpful and meant to develop reasoning and analytical skills on students. She is not that bad. =)

She is by far the worst Spanish teacher I have ever had at UNCC. Her Spanish leaves a lot to be desired. She does not teach the works she is presenting but gives "group work" and expects you to figure it out yourself. Horrible teacher! AVOID

She is seriously a very good teacher, you get out of this class what you put into it. You will learn a lot, and she is very helpful. If you really want to learn the spanish language and want more out of it than just a grade, this is a great class!
