Comment:

Expectations were mostly clear, although he's kind of a tough grader. Class was small so it was very informal, which ended up being good for the public speaking aspect of the class. Very assignment-heavy, but they aren't very hard. Lots of group work and interviewing outside professionals for assignments.

Matt made class fun, he was always clear on his expectations and helped with anything that he could. Follow the syllabus, participate, and take the speeches seriously. Easy 4 if you apply yourself.

Honestly... He was nice, and class was not too bad. Except he is the worst grader, and so strict. If you miss one class, be prepared to have your grade for that class get affect by .5, so if you have a 4. then that means you would get a 3.5. and with his work/test if you miss ONE word, hel mark the whole thing wrong. pick an easier teacher or fail

This professor seems easy, yet he isnt. Not only does he grade harshly, but he gives out five assignments. literately. Like you, I thought that was awesome. Until I realized that I did bad on ONE thing and lowered my grade to a 2.. Honestly he is a jerk, and I would say go for someone else who is an easy grader and doesn't have his thumb up his ass

HE IS AWFUL! Do not take him. I did the work for a 4.0 and only got a 3.5, and that is with getting an A on every test. He doesn't give A's at all on the paper or speeches. He always forgot to bring notes to class.. do not take him if you want a good grade!

I loved this guy. He had to be one of the nicest professors I ever had and he's extremely helpful. It's a boring subject no matter what teacher you have, but Matt always tries to keep it interesting and seems to keep our attention. I fully recommend.

Take this professor, he is really great and he will help you with anything you do not understand. If you do not mind doing work then this is the class for you. There are 3 100 point exams, a dyadic encounter paper, a group discussion, an informative speech and a persuasive speech. This class is really easy I got an A

Nice guy, does his best to keep boring information exciting. Lectures are Powerpoints, which he gives handouts to you so you dont have to write too many notes. Tests are all from the powerpoints, just study your notes and its an easy A

Ok, yes, he can be boring, but he is a great guy. His tests are really easy. Go over the power point slides he gives you and read what is on the slides in the book and you will do fine on the tests. only 2 Speeches and they are 4-6min and arent bad at all. He is a nice guy so if you need help just ask him. He does hold you after though sometimes.

I'd chew my arm off before I would ever take a class with this guy again. Not only is he boring as hell but he keeps you at least 10 minutes after the class ends. This dude is a nice guy and helpful but the way he presents his material is just boring. Better luck with someone else!
