He's a cool guy, a good teacher, but his teaching style isn't for everyone. I'm slower, and he just sped through lessons each day. Dos give credit for late work so that was good. can't slack much, so be prepared to show up every class, because each day is a completely new lesson .

Comment:

Mr. Greaney is one of the best teachers at SRJC. Period. I took his class a few years ago and he has left a lasting impression on me. He is extremely caring and a great teacher. I really enjoyed his class, his teaching style, and I would recommend him if anyone needs to take this class.

Mr Greaney is the best math teacher I have ever had. He gives you chances to make sure you get each problem right. He talks you through steps in ways anybody could understand. He is cheerful and has an awesome teaching style. Definetly recommend his class to other students

Matt's a great teacher. I was scared of Math, especially after being out of school for 20 yrs. I am no longer intimidated. Matt is very helpful, his door is always open. Homework is due every class. After taking tests, you are given one more shot to try to get a better grade, if needed. How well you do depends on how much effort you put into class.

I was nervous taking so many classes during the week for 3 hours long but if you put your mind to it and make the time to do your work, you'll easily pass the class with an A. Make sure you show up everyday because you'll miss out on that day's lecture. He grades fairly and you get practice time in the lap. He's the best math teacher I've ever had.

Greaney is a wonderful teacher! He's so into math, he makes you want to learn. He's funny and very understanding. But don't waste his time. Always do your work and be on time and don't leave early! Homework every class but pretty easy if you understand the material, but if you don't just ask he is very helpful. I would take every math class w him.

Great person, but teaching style is not for everyone. He would rush through new sections and the slow learners like me, would get lost. I started in this class feeling very confident about my math skills since I had an amazing CSKLS 371 instructor, but ended the semester very, very frustrated. Don't Mr. Greaney if Math is your weak subject.

I've been a MAJOR math phobic my entire life and it has held me back educationally. Matt is AMAZING!I'm no longer phobic. You'll work hard, s a ton of homework every single night, mandatory attendance in class & lab every day. But it's all worth it. Trust me-this is a great instructor & a great class. It's an accelerated program, 2 semesters in 1.

Mr. Greaney is the best math teacher I have ever had. He is super easy in the sense that he makes the material easy to read, understand and follow. I have never understood these concepts until Prof. Greaney! I only regret not keeping him due to schedule constraints from work when I went into Pre Algebra. JUST DO ALL OF YOUR WORK!

This was one of the first classes I had at the jc. In high school I had a horrible time is math. But he totally turned math around for me. I am confident in my math skills because he set me up for my next math classes. Super nice and helpful, by far the best math instructor. Very clear. He cares that you understand the material.

Matt truly is a GREAT teacher. He cares to make sure everyone understands the material, and won't move on unless you do. Never minds helping. Stays on task. Prof. Greaney is really a great teacher (and person). I've never been good at math (obviously) and Greaney explained the material masterfully. I also really liked that he didn't allow people to waste time with superfluous questions or comments. He also never refused a legitimate question either, no matter how simple or easy it may have seemed.

Great teacher. Good examples and explains the topics with good detail. If you dont understand something, just ask him and he'll do his best to help you. A lot of work though is handed out to you. A little to much time spent in the lab but other than that, superb teacher who loves to teach his subject. Definitely a recommendation!
