One of the best professors this university has to offer. If you want to really learn Organic chemistry, he will be at your side to help through it all! You need to show up but the class is not difficult, everything is provided to you.

Easily the best professor at the University. He is smart, engaging, and has a contagious love of organic chemistry. Sure his class takes a lot of work but that doesn't mean it's very hard. Go to class, take notes of exactly what's on the board, and you will get an A.

Dr. Mio is the best prof. I have been fortunate enough to take here at UDM. Yes, it requires an immense amount of work but it is absolutely worth it. He want's you to succeed and will sit with you for hours until you understand the material. His passion for what he is teaching is contagious. Every lecture is a new, exciting and challenging topic.

Easily the best teacher/professor I have ever learned from. All you need to do is copy the notes directly because he gives you every tool you need to complete the problem sets within the notes. He is great at making people critically think! He is just as good of a life coach as he is an Organic Chemistry prof. (don't take if you are lazy)

i can't believe i actually believed everyone that took dr. mio and said that he was practically impossible- SO NOT TRUE. I take notes in class, go home and rewrite, come back the next day and ask him questions and do excellent on the problem sets. He is a great guy and he is NOT impossible. If you don't take him ur lazy as heck and ur a chicken.

Mio has your best intentions at mind. He is one of the few profs that will give you an honest and frank answer. He's always there for help. Studying and learning on your own only does so much. Being able to communicate to him about the material is the only way you can open your mind to the broader picture of organic.

To the person claiming Mio plays favorites, I got news for you. I wasn't a Mio favorite. First semester, I refused to go to his office and ended up with a grade I didn't like, even though I understood the material. Second semester, I decided to give his advice a try. I recopied my notes, went to his office with questions. Ended up with an A!!

Amazing prof! Best one I ever had, and the best one I ever will have. DM explains things so well and you will learn a ton about chemistry from him. You will really care about organic after it's over. He also has a great sense of humor so make him laugh. The problem sets and tests are very challenging, but doable so do not fear them. Study a lot

Wow, very hard class, but it can be a LOT of fun sometimes. Organic becomes your life; if you're not seeing functional groups and symmetry everywhere you go, you're doing something wrong. DM is an amazing prof, very cool and extremely helpful and approachable. Go to his office everyday, why not, you're going to need it! He cares about this stuff
