Crocker is the best History prof anyone could ask for. I've taken a 100 level and 300 level class with him and am so disappointed he doesn't teach many more classes. He really knows how to keep lectures interesting and engage students. If you don't put in effort you will not do well and he will not have sympathy for you or your grade.

I'm a history major, and he is the best professor I've ever had. I take him every opportunity I get and am never disappointed. Do the work and go to class and you'll learn SO much, and do well. He's what convinced me to become a history major and really sparked my interest. Hilarious and brilliant guy, highly recommend.

Took two 100 level gen-eds with him, super easy and interesting classes. (161/162). There's three tests for the whole semester and you can choose either multiple choice or blue book, and the questions on either are pretty easy if you take notes/study for a couple hours. His lectures are super interesting, definitely would recommend.

This class was so hard with lots of reading expected and not content based, the class is about the historians interpretation in the books you read.

FANTASTIC PROFESSOR!! So funny and smart, and is good at relating what we're learning to modern events. He's made me so much more interested in American history than I was before. I have learned SO much and think I might like to minor in history because of this. If you like lecture classes and writing notes (which I do), definitely take it!!!!

Crocker is a great prof. Ive taken a couple of his classes at Keene State. He's funny and passionate about the material. He doesn't take attendance but if you want to do well you'll need to show up to class and take notes.

Crocker is a great professor, funny sense of humor, and makes class interesting! The 3 exams for the course are all blue book essay exams. The nightly homework is reading, which we discuss in class the next day. Doesnt take attendance, but if you go to every class, pay attention, and take notes you are bound to do pretty well in the class.

He's a good teacher, lectures a lot. You have to take notes, or get them from someone else since lots of the questions on the test are based off lecture, not the text book. The only grades are test grades, so study hard.

KSC Class of 01. MC was the best prof I had in my years at Keene. I took a number of different classes (elective) with him. All were challenging. All were thought provoking. Matt demanded that his students think. Most don't. If you don't know what that means then you probably didn't like him/ his class. If thinking is ok by you: register and learn.

This professor did not even seem interested in helping me raise my grade. After not doing well on a test, I went to him for tips on what I could do. He offered none, and never helped me with anything. Do not take this class unless you can listen only and comprehend with no notes written down.

You are not going to skate through this class. To do well on tests, you need to go to every class. The tests are difficult, but I got an A in the class. He has no sympathy for people who don't put in the effort. He makes history as interesting as it can get, especially if you hate it.

He keeps you interested by making think logicaly what would happen next, and he gives you other information besides what you've heard for the last 12 odd years or so. He doesn't take attendance, but a lot of what he says in class is on the tests.

Crocker is awesome! I never have enjoyed American History until this class. He is so funny in a subtle way and really engages the class. I had him for 8am and I was probably most awake in this class. If you need to take history, take it with Crocker, he'll make you want more.
