I found the class boring, and i hate how its all lecture. all we did was take a bunch of notes, and he talked the whole hour and ten minutes. Although on wednsedays we always had group work which was a good way to boost your grade.

Very funny and interesting guy. He teaches well, class is basically all lecture, but he makes them interesting. Only class I not once skipped this last semester because I liked that class and because it helped my grade a lot by always being there. Too bad he's no longer at CMU :(

I think Sheptoski is a really great teacher! If you sit in the front, he will make an attempt to get to know the student. His lectures are incredibly interesting, and he makes points in an interesting way. His class is basically all lecture, which is good if you are an auditory learner. He's funny, listens to good music and is just bad ass.

Sheptoski is awesome!! The material covered in his class was really interesting, he loves good music, and he's just a really funny, great guy. I would recommend his class to anyone, however he's leaving for Florida!

class was so incredibly boring. he takes ten minutes just to state one point. grade is mostly based on tests. 2 quizs on books, just read a chapter and tell him what you read, easy 30 points/400 for the class. no extra credit. tests are hard. ALWAYS take notes. i would not recommend this class

Class was okay. It is a big lecture class, and it is sometimes hard to tell what he wants you to write down. The exams were tough because he puts questions on it that you dont bother to look at (dates, stats, names of people). If you pay really goot attention and you STUDY you should be fine.

I have really enjoyed this class, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys lectures, if you don't want to listen to a good lecture twice a week then it is not for you. First exam was not bad, second exam had a few rough essay's. A few assignments, but basically show up and pay attention and you will learn a lot.

He is a true lecturer and you have to go to class to get notes since none are posted. Read the book and go to class and you will get an easy B+ at the least. Great guy and very willing to help. Speak up in class about the things he talks about and if you need help just jump on over and ask him. If nothing else he teaches you how to take real notes.

Sheptoski rocks. Amazing material. A lot of the class felt as though he was preaching socialism, but he was basically just opening their eyes about our government. He let me read his thesis on the Grateful Dead!!! Seriously this guy is amazing. I recommend this class to everyone
