She's an absolutely wonderful professor! Loves what she teaches and is really smart. Occasional quizzes, but she always sneaks it in an email so you know before. The readings are sometimes long, but always interesting. workload really isn't that bad. This is my second course with Prof. Shea and I've really enjoyed her classes.

Love this woman. She is incredibly smart and funny and interesting. Also very flexible with the class and catering her lesson plans to the class's needs. Very discussion based. Talk to her after class and learn more about her. You won't be disappointed.

Our homework is basically to do some readings from the book for every class and to do research on the internet. We had a couple papers, but they weren't that bad. Not too many people did that well on the midterm, probably because the study guide said nothing really. My only complaint is her terrible American accent.

Central American Literature. Great professor, really interesting topics, good discussion, though the intensity of the reading is a bit too demanding and students have a lot of trouble keeping up in class (a novel a week). She is understanding that it is a lot of work, however, and doesnt hold it against you if you can't finish. Discussion oriented

AWESOME teacher - so nice and made the class fun. The homework sometimes adds up but it is usually very easy, and she always tells the class exactly what will be on the tests. Very helpful and willing to give extra help/time.
