Her lectures very often turned to discussion, which could be disorienting if you were expecting to be taught the material in a more straightforward way. Because she is very knowledgable about the period and the texts, so she could lead the discussion where she wanted it to go. In sum: imperfect lectures, imperfect prof, but she's a hoot.

Marcie is a good teacher however her lectures are boring + sometimes unclear. She cannot formulate a proper sentence and can be confusing sometimes (always run on) but overall she is funny and values student's opinions. Tutorials are really what helps you for your papers. Doesn't take attendance. Take her if you want a class that is simple/boring.

Frank is a very nice woman but she needs to consider re-organizing this course. There were far too many readings and 90% did less than half. On the final exam your are expected to have read all 12 books. Bad idea.

Pretty good lecturer, lectures are clear and straightforward. A pretty hefty amount of reading, but she only tested on what was covered in class. Exam was straightforward, and we had ample time to work on the paper. Journals were a great way to boost your grade if you were willing to work on them. Odd facial expressions at times.

I am not an anglophone and had a lot of difficulty in her litt class. I regret not going to see her earlier. She is VERY willing to help. She takes attendance so just going to class is already a plus since it shows you care. DO SHOW YOU CARE!!! Ask questions in class or about mistakes in ur assignments. She wants students to succeed! :-)

Even though she was teaching an intro course and that most people weren't that enthused about being in class, she seemed to enjoy being there and was engaging in her teachings. She kind of came across as condescending when she assumed people had already studied all of the material prior to taking this course... but anyway. Good prof.

this woman is insane! what kind of a professor has everyone come to school two hours early to hand in paragraphs so she can read them before and then respond to them in class, and then three times out of four (only cause i didn't go one class so i can't be sure it wasn't 4 out of 4) she comes to class not having read them. ridiculously disorganized

I've taken a few classes with this prof. She is very intelligent and has very modern, innovative ideas. She will help you to the best of her abilities. It's not so much that she's unclear but that I am of a lower intelligence to understand her sometimes. Give it a little time...you will learn A LOT.
