nice guy, really old and almost impossible to understand. he is very passionate about his subject matter... but 90% of the time you can't understand what he says. he tells you from day one all you need is to use the text book... everything he says in lectures is useless (literally)... if attendance wasn't part of the grade no one would be in class

I don't think I've ever worked so little in a class and still gotten an A-. I recommend it for people who want to boost their gpa while still investing shockingly little time-does anyone not fit that description? The catch is the mandatory 8:30 classes, but personally I found this a small price to pay. Boutin is also extremely helpful and kind.

Take this class!Hes really nice and tries to help out his students. The workload is fair(3 short papers on material from class and the textbook) and he encourages you to do the assignments in class.

good class... a bit boring but really easy. he wasn't always clear, but he was really helpful if you went to him for clarity. you basically just have to seem into the class and he apreciates it - pretty easy to do well.

He's been teaching this course the same way for nine years. Eight thirty lectures make it near impossible to attend but assignments are basically just quoting the book so you really don't have to go to class anyway.

The material is very easy but the presentation is the worse for wear. There is no time paid to meaningful questions, just standard evasions out of a distant text. Not up-to-date in any positive sense of the term.
