The BEST professor ever!! You have to take his class and pay attention to get the full experience. Turn everything in and make sure you pick a good lab group to work with otherwise your screwed.

Makes you feel like you are a part of a TV show. Dr. Caputi is hilarious. Didn't receive the grade I expected. All little assignments count and can potentially hurt your average. The lab section of the class can really hurt your average so put in extra time into the lab reports/assignments.

You TOTALLY must take his class. If you're an engineering major and you don't, there's something wrong with you! He'll make you laugh, make you always want to smile, and always creates inspiration and admiration to the students. Also, whether or not you understand his joke, just laugh along with him, that always makes him happy to want to teach us.

Prof Caputi is one of the greatest professors at Hofstra. His lectures are super fun and lab is also great. Just do the little amount of work he gives and you wont have a problem. Caputi is more than just a professor. If you have any issues, whether it be school or personal he is there for you. Everyone must take him. You will regret it if you dont

Doc is awesome. I can count on him not only as a Professor but as a friend to go to if I need guidance or a few yucks. The class was fair, the lectures were fun, and the projects were a good challenge. He provides you with a binder that has every assignment and page you'll need all semester. Bring that every class and put in an honest effort.

He is such a laid back person. He doesn't get angry easily and his classes are super fun. He does this think where you could have lunch with him and he will pay. It's really not as weird as it seams because he is one of those guys that's more than a proffressor... he is someone you could go to and just talk about anything.

Dr. Caputi is one of the best professor's any freshmen could have at Hofstra for Engineering. He makes one of the most boring classes you could ever take rather interesting. He is one of the reasons I didn't change my major. Beware, there is a lot of group work as well as highly structured work. (BTW, he does give As, I got one)

If you're doing any Engineering at Hofstra, you are required to take ENGG15 1st semester. Dr. Caputi is by far the best professor to introduce freshmen students to engineering. He's hilarious. You will have a lecture class and lab. Be sure to chose the right team for the entire semester. P.S. Be familiar with "Return to Sender" by Elvis Presley.

His class is extremely easy. On assignments, make sure its clear and to the point. Don't write too much, he doesn't like that. Lab in general was good as well. He was very helpful and tried his best to answer whatever questions you had. He gives you a workbook (which is the textbook) and its mandatory to do the work and bring it to every class.

Dr. Caputi is a professor of the year - he is one of the reasons I refused to give up on Engineering. Anyone that says that this class is something you'll only get a B in is wrong (I got an A) It is only if you choose not to try that your grade will suffer. All projectgroup based, but better than any engineering class you'll take.

Caputi is a very well liked professor. The only problem is his grading and teaching style. It is over structured with no room for any outside interference. He forces students to speak in class (anxiety sufferers beware) and do group work. All assignments are clear cut to the point of frustration because there is no room. TLDR: everyone gets a B

He really tries to make the class interesting and fun; this shows in his presentation of the material. However, he does deduct points for everything. I didn't fold exactly on a dotted line to give him $40 for a required book we hardly even needed, and lost 2 whole points on a 10 point assignment. He also told me to develop new handwriting. Not bad

Great professor, funny, makes the class seem like a television show, complete with "talk shows" and plays oldies music like Elvis and the Beatles. He grades very fairly but it is difficult to get anything above an B+, labs are fun, it's an intro engineering class without the physics and math, great intro for engineering students.

Very fun class, awesome guy, great teacher but penalizes heavy for tiny mistakes. For example he took off 50 points for a centimeter too short in lab. Often unclear with assignments but this class is a MUST

Dr Caputi is a lot of fun. He is outgoing and always helpful. His repetitive jokes only make them funnier. His class is centered around group work, so your grade is partial to what your group does as a whole. All in all, he makes engineering, and constructing even the simplest things fun.

I find Dr. Caputi both entertaining and comprehensive as a professor, however our lab team would have done better in his class if we were just allowed to see the materials we would be buying for the grand design challenge up close before we started working on the design.
