Burke shows genuine interest in his student's work. He is super good at explaining things and will always help you with your work. He's also good at changing your marks if you find a problem with how you were graded.

Max is a really nice guy who offers lots of help outside of class. Homework recommended but not necessary, if you're not doing the HW go to class for sure. Examples he gives are harder than the exams and he grades nicely and within 2 days! Final is cumulative but honestly very passable. He knows math is hard and not everyone wants to be there.

The lectures felt disjointed and like a collection of random facts, rather than having a flowing narrative from class to class like my other math courses. Linear algebra is by no means as exciting as other areas of math, but the classes were extremely dry and I couldn't focus for the entire 75 minutes.

He's very nice & approachable guy. His lectures are always well-organized and he makes the effort to help his students when they have trouble with math as much as he can. Mid-terms were easy and final was reasonable for my course. It can be hard to understand what he means sometimes but overall a good prof
