This instructor is absolutely fantastic. He is an expert in U.S. foreign relations and is mostly balanced in his interpretations of historical events. Although he downplays contemporary profiteers in current U.S. economic and political policy in the Middle East, his broad analysis of policy is great

Awesome lectures! I never knew history could be so interesting. He really knows and cares about his subject. Really helpful outside class. Do the reading and attend class to do well on the tests, and put effort into the papers because he is a tough grader. Definitely worth the effort.

Great for this particular course...The class required effort, but you really learn the material. Tests were all essay--focus on broad themes and work on writing skills. I would not suggest him for lower level courses. He is a hard grader and probably boring if your not intersted in the class.

Great lectures! this was the first history class i actually learn stuff not just memorized dates. his tests are hard and grades papers hard. but he is willing to help if you go see him. i would recommend this class
