Look, Java is a hard subjuct. Most people never show up, or spend most of her lecture surfing the web, and get so behind theres no catching up. Her lectures are clear and detailed. she is helpful. If you Show up, pay attention, and do the work weekly. You'll get an A. The book hardly used. Also, she tells you whats on the tests in great detail!

She is one of the worst teacher ever,, always always think that she's doing a good job when she is not,, if the PowerPoint stop working she may day in the middle of the class.. One more thing (((( Why do the college pay for someone to help the teacher if she herself needs help UNDERSTANDING JAVA ?!! The worst class ever...!!

Hard to follow at times. Cannnot use PC for tests, must memorize everything and write it down. Good News, she tells you everything you need to get an A if you memorize. Not recomended for non-programmers (I know, it's introductory programming). Book is useless and not required (you'll see).

If you are high school age and have already had several programming classes already, you'll do ok. She caters to the younger students. If you have to take her, sign up with Karen immediately. This teacher really turned me off for continuing on with Java II. If this class is a must for you, take it at another campus.

One of the best programing teachers I ever had. Her tests are written tests, long and hard but she is very leniet. Study her powerpoints do all the prodjects, even the in class, and you will do fine. She is great at helping people out. If you need extra help Karen is wonderful. Any programing class takes hard work and time.

Her project instructions were so hard to follow for a beginner and they were full of mistakes. If you had no programming experience prior to taking this class & were not fortunate to work with Karen (who was a godsend), good luck! Her tests were the WORST! My best advice: If you need this class, take it at another campus. I'm sorry I didn't.

Good teacher. Tells u exactly what the exam will have. Provides sample programs which r excellent guides. Great notes on blackboard system. Lot of busy work and programs, but VERY forgiving w/ late submissions and grading. Overall, quite easy.
