avoid this professor like the plague!! When I asked her a question outside the classroom, 9 times out of 10 she would respond "You tell me". Um, that is exactly why I came to you in my free time! There are other professors for this class, request them! Don't let an advisor tell you otherwise! Good luck!

I love McCarthy!! The only reason why anyone could say something bad about her is because they don't have a brain for the class anyways! Sorry welcome to college and you actually work in her class and earn your grade!! She is an awesome teacher if you actually care about the class, instead of just wanting things handed to you! McCarthy is AWESOME!!

Inorganic is not super interesting, and there is a lot of information. Tests are a beast. Not always clear on directions, and a lot of work for only 2credits. She tries to be cool, but can be obnoxious. Not terrible for an upper level chem class

worst professor i ever had. I've been sending emails back and forth with her and she can't remember my name even though its right in front of her face. I'll say one thing in my email and its like she reads the first line and then replies back, very unhelpful, very unclear and overall seems to be a very lazy teacher. DO NOT GET HER!!!

This professor is terrible. Instead of actually eaching she hands you a workbook and expects you to learn entirely from that. If you ask a question in class, she doesn't actually help you she just tries to yell at you until you randomly throw out answers. She thinks shes better than other people and is just here trying to make you drop chemistry.

She does not teach, when she does she says the wrong things then always "oops! um ignore what I just said! this is the answer!" SO annoying when you're trying to learn, which is impossible. I switched my major just so I never have to take chemistry again. Thank you Jesus for sabbaticals!

She is ridiculous. She makes you feel stupid. She makes fun of you in front of the entire class, sends nasty e-mails if you need help and overall is a terrible professor. She teaches the class like it's a chem for majors class, so if you're a non-major it's basically impossible. STAY AWAY FROM MCCARTHY!
