Zimm is an amazing professor. His notes are not very organized, but they are detailed. If you study the notes, listen in class, and ask questions, you will pass. His upper-level classes are difficult, but rewarding and he will help you with job applications.

Notes for class were very unorganized and impossible to follow. he was not receptive to questions from students other than his few favorites. Anytime i went to him for extra help he blew me off saying that there was a tutor and i should go to them for help. He is errogant and does not understand the basic concept of teaching.

Watch out! He can be nice but is really mean and pissy depending on what days you catch him. Other days he can be the friendlist person. He has little organization which confuses both his students and anyone attempting to work for him. He doesn't know what is going on with things b/c he has so much stuff going on at once.

Zimm is the man! I have taken most of his classes - Bio 111, Eco 224,Env Sci, and Aquatics 328. As long as you ask questions and do a good job in lab, it is easy. He's a fun guy, he took our class kayaking!

UGH! He confuses HIMSELF during class, continually changing what's on the board. Not that it matters, since he teaches things that haven't been scientific for about 20 years. Hasn't seemed to have kept up with biology since 1980. The maps he shows are from the 80's or latest, early 90's. Pretty mean, too.

He is a good guy but tends to have symptoms of PMS (I'm serious). If you catch him on a bad day watch out and just advoid him! Once you get into the upper level courses he is pretty easy going and concerned that each Sr. is taking steps to prepare for after graduation. His field trips rock!!!
