It makes me so sad that WSU still has Reap as a teacher. As future teachers ourselves, we should have exemplary teachers. Sadly, Reap is NOT an exemplary teacher. Instead, you learn what not to do as a teacher. She cancelled class at least once a month and was extremely disrespectful as she played Minecraft during presentations. Step up WSU.

This class kind of felt like a waste of time. She never assigned half of the stuff that she had on the syllabus. The only work you really do is the field experience lesson plans which are done in groups. Not even sure what she graded us on since we had no assignments. Wish there was another option for a professor for this course

Got a good grade, but learned nothing and put forth minimal effort. She's honestly a really lazy teacher. She just uses Dr. Wysoki's syllabus and course documents instead of writing her own. Never updated D2L grades. Feels like she's not qualified for the job she has. Her instructions are really unclear. Easy class, but I learned nothing.

Melanie Reap does not know how to teach science for elementary teachers! She skipped class a lot for numerous sicknesses and other reasons. She never actually taught any of us anything. She's a nice woman, but her class is random and you do not learn anything.

This professor is a complete joke! i can't believe she is an education professor. I guess she is a perfect example of what not to do when your teaching! She is never in class and we did nothing when she was there. We took one exam and wrote 1 paper and did 1 unit plan and I learned nothing. It was a complete waste of my time and money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst class I have ever taken. I did not learn anything from her. There were days that we were in class for 5 minutes and then days where she would keep us late. She never taught a full lesson she would bring in other professors to teach.

I was really excited about the class BEFORE it started. I have not learned how to bring diversity into the classroom. We talked, mainly the whole 5 weeks, about Native Americans. There are so many diverse populations out there.....wish we would have done more.

tests are hard, but there aren't many. plenty of group work & videos. good sense of humor & pretty easy going. not too hard to get an A. She's a science nerd, but she's fun.
