As sweet of a lady she is, she is so far THE MOST difficult professor I have ever had. Tests are based off of lectures, but her heavy accent makes it difficult to understand what she's saying. She takes notes on the chalkboard which are not only hard to see but are extremely messy. Grading was solely based on 2 midterms, final, and quizzes.

DON'T TAKE HER COURSE! I would even suggest you to wait till next quarter rather than taking her course. Heavy accent makes you hardly understanding her lecture. Also, lecture doesn't help exams at all! What she taught in class is irrelated to her exams. And no homework, which means you have to work on your own for midterms and final.

Nasiri is the nicest old lady you'll ever meet; this does make up for the fact that here exams are extremely difficult. The final was completely unfair. She provides few resources to exceed and her lectures are unorganized. It is unfortunate that if you are a UC Davis bio sci major, you will most likely have to take her for 118abc at some point.

DON'T DO IT!!! Nasiri tests on things that aren't from lecture/readings. Average for the final was 39% and more than half of the class failed. Lectures are disorganized and her accent is the heaviest I've heard. I am an A student and couldn't pull off an A. Don't get friendly confused with nice; no one could be nice and do this to their students.

If you like chemistry and considerer yourself good at it... Go for it! She is a lovely old lady, but her tests are hard. Classes are heavy, the book doesn't help, and she is not the best teacher. I know, I tried my best but it wasn't enough to get a good passing grade.

The two weeks postponed really took a toll and at the very end, she rushed everything all at once. She may be old but she really loves chemistry and she seems to care for her students and her grandchildren. However, it's a risk taking her, shes unorganized, exams are impossible & the only things going into the grade book are the quizzes and exams.

She is the worst professor I have ever take. I am normally a straight A student but barely made it through this class. Her lectures made no sense and her exams were extremely difficult. She's very sweet but she simply can't teach. She does not prepare you for the CHE 118ABC series. I do not feel like I am ready for CHE 118B. Thanks for my first C.

She is the worst professor ever. Very nice lady but horrible professor. Literally the hardest class I have ever taken. I know so much of the content but would get 30% on the tests. Do not take these comments lightly. Her curve of a 50% being a C is not helpful when the averages on your tests are 45% and below. Pretty much impossible class.

What can I say? AMAZING! She gives you all the material to be successful on her straight-forward exams. Tho the campus was closed for 2 wks due to Camp Fire, students should've used this time to study, instead of lazing around, because I know I did. I just barely received an A+ in the class, but that was from hard work. Ignore posts below plz...

Avoid her if you can't understand thick accents. Unorganized lectures, hard exams. Kinda makes me hopeless about organic chemistry :( Choose someone else even if their sections have a super long wait-list.

No lecture notes, slides, or podcasts, so god forbid you miss a SINGLE WORD. Doesn't use notes so lecture is an unorganized mess. To be fair we were rushed this quarter because the Chico fire reduced our class time, but the last week of lecture made ZERO sense and we couldn't catch up because NO SLIDES OR PODCAST. If you get her, have "fun".

Very hard to understand her because of her thick accent. Lectures are super disorganized and complicated for no reason. She makes mistakes all the time which makes it very hard to learn. Average for first test was a 33% which is ridiculous and she puts things on the tests that she said she wouldn't. Overall nice lady bad teacher.

ughhhh I wish I hadnt done this to myself. I actually liked ochem 118A and 118B until this course. Total trainwreck. Material is presented in a very disorganized way, caused ridiculous amounts of stress on the tests. Average in the 30s for the first midterm (how does that do anything for anybody??) Scared for final. Very very overwhelming. Avoid

I love Nasiri! Take good notes in class and understand them to the fullest and you will be able to get an A. Also you must write down everything that she is saying not just whats on the board. Thats how you beat the average by a lot! My notes were literally GOLD . Exams are hard but concepts are all covered in notes . Do lots of practice exams!

Prof Nasiri was my professor for Chem2A, which was her first time teaching this class. She is a very sweet and funny woman. Unfortunately, it was hard for me to understand her because she had a very thick accent, tended to make many mistakes in class, and had very difficult tests. This class is not for the faint of heart, so expect to put in work!

Lectures weren't memorable. Practice tests weren't very helpful, and neither were the in class explanations. Her accent is tolerable after the first week, and doesn't take away from the quality of the class.
