The most confusing teacher ever. The entire class was always scrambling to do assignments. Nothing is explained clearly. Nice teacher but horrible horrible teacher. 10/10 dont take her.

Professor Yasuda's class is the second hardest course I've ever taken, but it was so interesting and I learned A LOT. Hefty homework packet every week, quiz every Monday, couple opportunities for extra credit, and three tests. Study group is a must - wouldn't have passed without it. Don't miss lecture! She's very nice!

She is very nice, but homework is confusing and hard. Her homework packet is so crazy that the links she provides you doesn't have the answer to the question. She is willing help you and suggested to go to group study or tutoring. Im not sure if any students has encounter this but her replying over email seem condescending.

This has been one of my least favorite classes of my entire college career. She gives about 10 pages of homework every single week-which you have to print yourself. What will be on tests is very unclear and she does not use class time wisely or explain things in a way that is clear to understand. Avoid this professor.

Misuses her time. Gives us questions with little to no resources to find the answer to and then marks us down for the questions we don't finish because she hasn't given us an answer or a way to find the answer. Assumes we have unlimited knowledge about the course. Gives wildly over ambitious projects with an unrealistic time frame to finish.

Her lectures are hard to stay awake, I used probably $100 worth of ink just printing stupid packets for every day in class. What she teaches in lecture completely conflicts any other research you do online. DO not but the book it was never even used.

Her homework is HARD! You have to go to class everyday, read the book and go to study group in order to get the homework and even then it's HARD, she's there for you and Is willing to help but it's really hard! You have to dissect her questions cause one little word can throw your answer way off. And hmwrk is 40% of your grade avg scores are 13/20

I definitely 100% suggest NOBODY use this professor. What an awful class! Her lectures are very disorganized, she often is going through her PowerPoint to find a certain picture and skips over and never goes back to what she skipped. The WEEKLY homework takes a minimum of 2 hours to finish, and it's not always clear where to find answers

Being part of her study group is a MUST to pass. It helps to understand the material a little bit better and prepares you for the test. Oceanography is a tough subject, I don't blame her for the class being difficult. Make sure you have a printer if you take her class, and will dedicate time to read and do the homework packets. Study a lot!!

Professor Yasuda's class is every tough, but you will learn a lot if you put in the effort, not a class to put on the back burner. There are 2 midterms, one final and every week there is a homework packet. Yasuda is great at helping and responding to emails quickly.

This is by hard the hardest class I have taken in my life. The information is not presented in a way that is understandable to students. There is homework every week which she grades really strictly on, on average people usually get Cs on it; and its 30 percent of your grade. The Tests are the hardest of all. Only one A some Cs MANY MANY F's!

She gives great information to the class but is very difficult. I've never even came close to having an instructor as hard as her. The way she has the class/hw/tests structured is very ridiculously poor. I'm not sure how she doesn't see that if the whole class is struggling maybe she's doing something wrong. I don't know how she's still a professor

Ms. Yasuda's class was very interesting and I learned a lot, but I was forced to drop out because the homework was way too difficult (2 hrs to finish minimum!) and the homework prompt was too confusing. She was helpful but confusing and made your brain turn to mush.

I have to correct the homework questions before i understand them, her grammar is not so good. Frankly she is so overly critical that even if you put her exact words on the paper she will find something wrong with it. She marked me wrong on my midterm where i was right multiple times. She should stick to her day job

Engaging and knows the material well. Weekly homework. Lets you "redo" the midterms to get half credit for corrected answers. Responds to email promptly. If she senses that you are hungry for more information, she will supply it in attachments to your homework. Like any class read the book, do the work, and you will do well.
