He's an overall nice person and the class was interesting, but I agree with other comments that he does come off as mean sometimes and can make you feel low and singled out when you don't know the answer to a question.

Really great teacher, you can't just slack off in his class but if you do your end of the work his class is really good. He knows what he is talking about and really gets invested in his students. His major author seminar was an amazing class, you just have to do the reading, pay attention, and be willing to talk in class.

So far, I don't really have a very good impression of this guy. He's kinda mean and a little bit unorganized. He comes off as arrogant....I'm considering dropping the class. Although I love the material, I'm not sure if I can handle him for the entire semester!

I took an Honors class with this guy. I really don't understand the good comments about him. It seems as if they are talking about a different professor. I thought the class was pretty boring and he was a bit mean at times. Only his opinion is the right opinion. I would never take another one of his classes again.

I LOVE DR. MOSELEY! He is a very intelligent, knowledgeable, and challenging professor. He does a great job of making the material interesting and he really challenges his students to think. His passionmakes his class exciting, and encourages students to be involved. His class is focused around the exchange of ideas which epitomizes UNCA.

He has a complex that teachers get after they have a daughter where they begin to view every girl as a daughter and unconsciously favor them. It's mainly irritating and doesn't enter into his grading. A lot of his views seem ancient to me, but I've been at UNCA long enough to skew my perspective (he is probably cutting edge as far as old guys go)

Moseley is a really nice guy who really cares about his students. If you need help with anything, whether it's an assignment or a scheduling problem, he will do his best to help you out. He also does a fantastic job with getting everyone involved in class discussion. Take his courses!
