Comment:

This, by far, was the worst class I have ever taken. Not only was there almost no organization, but readings were often posted the night before we had to have them completed. Also, because the class didn't do well on a quiz that she said did not matter, she assigned a ridiculously difficult amount of homework, almost as if she was punishing us.

One of the best professors I've had at WCU. Class is super easy and lectures are actually interesting. Show up to class because she collects classwork for participation points. Definitely recommend this class.

Absolute best professor!! If you take this class you will not be disappointed. I don't normally write reviews of professors but had to for Merry Perry. She is amazing and really wants to see every student succeed. She is always willing to help. Attendance isn't mandatory but most people go just because its enjoyable. Take this class!!

I loved Merry Perry for Lit 100! She not only made class fun but also very easy. She mad it clear what questions would be on the test, and while some were very specific, she gives you many tools to do well. We were even allowed to used our film notes for an exam. I had her for WRT, while she might be easy, its not as great as LIT. Easy/fun A :)

Merry Perry is one of the best teachers ever. Our class was on pop culture, so it wasn't anything too hard. As long as you showed up or watched the shows outside of class you pass without any worry. I would take any class taught by her again in a heartbeat.

Merry Perry is literally one of the sweetest people ever. The only things that you're graded on in class are the quizzes that you take every 3-4 weeks. Everything is relevant and she keeps you interested throughout the entire class. Her tests aren't horrific, but you need to review a little. The biggest assignment is a 16 page movie study guide

Comment:

She is a hilarious person. The class is a really easy class, and you can basically only go on test days because she posts everything online. Sometimes I would get a bit irritated at various things we learned or had tests on, for example - we had a 180 question study guide on the matrix. The tests are also very nit picky about certain details.

Dr. Perry is awesome personality-wise, but a dry teacher. You learn the basics of writing: an introduction, a narrative, a persuasive paper, and the magazine project. Your grade is based on grammar and punctuation and you're allowed to correct and re-submit papers. Every week, we had to take online quizzes on D2L. Don't forget about them.

For her LIT class, you are graded only by quizzes and exams, but they're so easy you won't mind. She doesn't take attendance but class is fun and she gives all the answers to the tests in class. Final is not cumulative. She's a really nice lady who cares about her students, is really understanding and lenient.

Comment:

Dr. Perry is one of the sweetest people I know. Such an easy class for a gen ed and she gives you exactly what you need to do well on quizzes. There's five quizzes, a midterm, and a final. I got a B or higher on everything with little studying. She puts every slide on D2L and she holds study sessions in her office before quizzes.
