During the lectures, you have to pay very close attention and take detailed notes and he can be hard to understand. If you listen to what he says for the assignments you will do well. The midterm and the final are very very difficult, but if you do well on the assignments you will be ok. The end of the semester grade may be scaled.

You'll do well if you get on his good side right from the beginning. Do all of the suggestions he makes for your project or your grade will definitely be subpar. Live by his sample exams. A lot of work, he has a dry sense of humor, definitely the hardest class I've taken. He is STRICT. If he calls your project sexy, you win.

Mete is great. I had him for structures classes as well as design studio. He will challenge you and if you put in the effort and are willing to get past his tough exterior, the guy will truly bend over backward to help you out. I am five years out of school now and looking back, I consider him to be by far one of my best professors.

I had him this past semester for Structures, Form, and Order which is a sophomore architecture class that deals with mainly structure and organization of spaces, bridges, etc. Teacher was of no help, graded ridiculously, and was not respectfu. He usually teachers higher classes however. CLASS AVG WAS A 62 AND THE DEAN HAD TO CURVE EVERYBODY UP.

Mete is a really good teacher. He has high standards, but he gives people the grades they deserve. People need to stop complaining - this is a college class, not high school; he shouldn't have to explain every detail over and over again. Look at the textbook and utilize the tutors, that's why they're being paid.

He is an awesome professor. Granted his classes are harder than most, you have to be willing to go see him after class to understand better. At first he is scary and intimidating but as you get to know him you'll love him. I also had him for advanced studio and busted my but to get a B+ but it feels good to get something you deserve.

Mete is very intelligent, alhtough when taking his ArchTech 1&2 it helps to have a good foundation in Math, as he can sometimes get carried away in class. He is always available and appreciates students that come to ask questions. Although he can be intimidating at first, he really is a sweet guy; but he does tend to pick favorites.

I know the material in the class as well as him and I get a C on my first exam when i could have aced it had been given ample time to finish it. I didnt' bother studying the rest of the semester and still got the same awful grades. Mete is a whirling dervish when not a professor and stinks at that as well.
