Comment:
He values quantity over quality. His reaction to questions is to try belittling or demeaning you. He clearly lacks some internal confidence and lashes out childishly. His excuse for providing no feedback is that it's a capstone course, which is pathetic and misguided. Expect to provide pointlessly long reports about arbitrary details.

Not the best teacher but definitely not the worst. I expect long papers, so I'm not surprised that a college level course would have me doing ten page papers. Show up, do the homework and the quizzes, participate in group projects and you'll be fine. I learned plenty from his class, you get what you give.

I had a bad feeling about this class at first, but as the semester went on I started to warm up to him. His teaching methods are interesting, yet you do learn the information that you are supposed to. How much will you learn? Well, that depends on how much work you put in. Yes, you can cheat, but your are paying for this class!

Mixed feelings, but overall good class. He canceled like 70% of classes. Weekly online quizzes (easy). Don't buy the text book, he provides power points for each chapter. There are 2 group projects which were sort of annoying, but were reasonable.

Comment:
He goes at length far too much about his accomplishments and the important people he's met. IST220 was utterly pointless for me, there was virtually ZERO teaching on his part. It's just read this chapter and take this online quiz. His group projects are very vague and you can see how lazily they were put together.

Doesn't really know how to teach and does not care about his students, told the entire class that "only 20% of his work done with Penn State is teaching" and the most important reason for him being at Penn State was research. Also, he LOVES to brag about his meaningless life accomplishments at some point in every single lecture.

By far the worst professor I've ever had. Feedback is not constructive. He likes to brag about his tenure in academia and his PHD. I've learned absolutely nothing from this class. If you ask questions about a grade his responses are very aggressive and demeaning . I would not recommend him!

Easy A, but don't expect to learn very much. He pretty much reads verbatim off the Powerpoint, so there isn't much point in showing up. Pretty much a "memorize and forget it" course that you don't take much away from. Rather boring.

I was initially excited about this class, but I was wrong. He doesn't know what he's teaching and refuses to answer questions. He will dodge any question you ask and leave the room to ask professors about what he's teaching. He is the single worst professor I've ever had.

This professor canceled half of his classes, and left for weeks. Finally, he gave us a large project and gave no information about it. He also denied giving information when asked for details. This is unacceptable.

Great professor. Grades easily.. basically if you show up to class and remember your work youll get an A. No exams, just online quizzes and "projects." The students who did bad in this class didnt show up and missed quizzes.

Uses Second Life to make points and explain examples. Anyone complaining about not learning anything from Dr. Bartolacci, isn't trying. He's a good professor. The best professor in the world can't make you learn if you don't make an effort and meet them halfway. You will get out of his class what you put into it. Good guy.

Awful professor. Absolutely obsessed with Second Life and other web-based games. Will find any excuse to shoe-horn Second Life into class work. Aside from the fact that Second Life is useless to begin with, there was absolutely no substance to this class. So happy I'm going into debt up to my eyeballs for a class like this.

Dr. Mike is a nice guy, and cares about his students. He does assign long papers, but grades them easily. The papers I did for his classes were at least interesting ones, compared to alot of the others, so they were not too bad to do. Quizzes are easy. All in all a nice, charming fellow and an easy A. If you ask questions, you will learn something

Don't take his class. While I got an A in it, he was probably one of the worst professors ever. The papers he assigns are around 7-10 SINGLE spaced pages, except for the first one which was only one single spaced page. And he thinks hes better than everyone else, which shows when you e-mail him and he gives you an arrogant response in return.

This class is in my major but he has driven me to question my motives. He is a poor teacher and all he does is create unnecessary papers that are excessively long, and He doesn't even teach in both of the scheduled class times, he cancelled one of our meeting times for the whole semester for online quizes
