This class all you do is watch movies and clips he likes from the past. Oh and you should no Barton likes to talk and talk and talk. You have one test the study guide is the actual test and two papers one is a final paper. Really easy just make it about a random deep issue about a movie on both and you'll get an A as long as you have good grammar.

Easy class. All you do is watch movies, have two essays to write, and one test. The lectures are boring, but you can learn a lot from Mr. Barton. He's a really good guy, and he knows his stuff. Again, all you do is watch movies.

Anyone can get a 100 on his tests. You don't need to even show up. He knows this so he takes 5pts off for every absence. He comes in late, holds you late. Didn't learn anything I just highlighted parts in the book and memorized them. I give him a 5.5/10

Easiest class I have ever had. He shows up late and doesn't really expect anything, but if you act like you care about his stories (or tell him you are a Republican) it's an easy A. His readings are a joke, but he doesn't seem to have read them either, so it's not a big deal.

Worst academic experience. I am graduating with a 4.0 and am an American Studies major. No sour grapes here. Barton likes to talk and talk and talk. He particularly favors white male students he intends to groom for graduate study at PSU who may also serve as assistants (ie. smart, ambitious men who will do his research for him).
