Comment:

Bingham is great, I loved his class & my classmates. I'd say the only thing to beware of, if you're shy or have anxiety and don't do well with oral assignments, you should know, everyone is required to do one student lead discussion. It's painless though, very easy. And you don't have to stand up, you just sit down, ask questions & call on people.

I liked professor Bingham but the presentations were very tough. They have to be memorized I tried my best but he was a tough grader. I did all the work and was at every class but could not receive an A on anything no matter the effort I put in. He is a funny and for the most part nice guy but I think too tough especially for a 101 course.

Honestly one of the best & my favorite teacher at SCSU. Very interesting course. Oral presentations not as hard as many people think! I hated them until this course and I did great. Wants the best for his students.Paper was fun to write midterm a little harder than what he gives for the final, but if you read the book and take notes you'll do fine!

Honestly, one the best professors i've ever had at SCSU.He makes it interesting. Very funny and you feel the class at the end is very personable with one another. The midterm was a little tough but the 4 oral presentations were opinion based so pretty easy. The writen assignments are okay. highly recommended take this class!!

He is a great professor. You actually learn in his class. The oral presentations are a breeze. They are only 60-90 seconds and they are usually opinion based. Reading the paper isnt bad at all. Read it only on the days you have class and he basically you can get by with just skimming. Its a good class and he knows his facts.

5 oral presentations that are no fun and TIMED with nothing to read off of. 2 papers. 2 exams. The final was a breeze but the midterm wasn't. Attendance is mandatory. Reading the New Haven Register wasn't all that much fun EVERY morning. Learned some interesting things overall though.

He gives you TONS of quizzes!! I didn't like it at first but then I realized I was getting so much more out of the class than I normally would because of having to make sure I did the reading. He's a cool guy, pretty interesting to listen to. I'd recommend him.

Professor Bingham does seem like he could be condescending, but he didn't act that way towards anyone in my class this semester. The presentations are based on opinion which makes it easier to remember what you're going to say and they are no longer than 90 sec. Midterm was tough but papers are easy. Made class interesting! Discussions are fun!
