I highly recommend taking this course if you are interested in entering financial markets as a career path. My advice for success in the class would be to actively listen during lectures and reach the chapters in the textbook at least once in preparing for exams (Definitely one of the best textbooks I have ever read).

Comment:

Gave me a good understanding of finance, which I had NO background of at all. UGS is supposed to open us up to college learning, and this class was definitely one of my tougher classes. 3 tests (lowest dropped), cumulative final, 2 speeches, and 3 in class writings. I ended up with a B, deserved it. Try hard on each assignment, not just the tests.

The most entertaining professor in the University of Texas MBA program. My class was at 8:00 AM and he had no problem waking me up with his energy and enthusiasm. He makes everything interesting and has very colorful examples. His impersonations are great.

Really loves what he is teaching. Gets really into the lectures. Good professor but the tes are a little tough. If you take good notes and study though they are no problem. And he put up the powerpoints before class so you can bring them and take notes on them.
