Dr. Butler is amazing, easily the best professor I have ever had at TCU. He's an expert in his field but is really good at breaking down the material to make it more understandable. Tests can be challenging but if you go to class and do the homework you should be fine. Dr. Butler is more than willing to help you out and make sure you understand!

Great professor. The class meets at 8am on MWF though, and there is a quiz every Friday and about every other Wednesday which can get tough. Very little textbook use - pretty much every thing comes from lectures. The group project is fun and not too hard, yet accounts for a large percentage of the grade. I would take Butler and this class again.

Dr. Butler might be the best professor I've ever had. The classes are short, you get let out early, and he explains everything excellently over lectures. He works with you, wants you to do good, and will try to help you on tests. Show up, do the homework, there's an occasional pop quiz, but if you want an A, you can get an A.

GREAT professor! Very friendly, awesome explainer, makes complicated issues easy to understand. One of the best teachers I've had so far at TCU! Class attendance is necessary to do well. Tests mainly based off notes, experiments, and some from supplementary reading. I took this class in the summer and can honestly say the 8 am classes were fun!

Best teacher I have had so far in this major. Subject can be difficult, but he explains everything as clearly as possible. The best part is that he WANTS you to do well, so he will help if you are having trouble. Great teacher, I would take him again if I could, for sure.

Great micro teacher! If you go to class then you will learn a lot and be in pretty good standing for the tests. The only thing is that there are always a couple surprises on the end of the exam that he puts on to see how much of it you can do which makes it hard to get an A. As long as you go to class you he will make sure you understand.

This is a fairly hard class, but Dr. Butler makes it at least less painless. I don't know that he is the easiest Econ teacher out there but I think he is overall probably the best. You will learn a lot if you pay attention in class. If I had it to do over I would take Dr. Butler again and you should too.

He's great. Intermediate Micro is a tough subject but he makes it bareable. He teaches well and gives plenty of opportunities to keep your grade pretty high (High B, Low A) with all the quizzes. If you put effort into it, an A is possible.

Awesome guy and good professor. He's funny and energetic and fair in his grading. If you have general knowledge in economics then you can do well in the class as long as you go and do the homework and keep ahead.

I really like him. No tests except final. If you go to class the material is very easy to learn. No reading textbook required, only used for in class and homework problems which are minimal. I recommend this class to everyone.

TIPS for an A. BE IN CLASS. Do homework, ELVIS is the answer to his bonus questions, and final is freakin impossible so have your grade secured before it.
