This professor has been my favorite out of all of my professors. The tests and homework is pretty simple as long as you read. The long answer questions on the tests are pretty important, but other than that he's a really nice guy. He's a cute nerd that plays Princess Mononoke and rolls a D10 for the homework questions. He makes me want to learn.

This was my overall easiest class. I struggled at first with the homework but after the first one, I never made a grade below an 88. Participation matters but its easy stuff. He won't make you do it if you don't want to. 3 test and 10 quizzes the question comes from your homework and you just copy the answer. I recommend this class 100% easy A.

I enjoyed Prof. Capistran's class. You just read the book & answer some questions about what you just read. Tests are exactly like the reviews. Super easy class. Mr. Capistran is really nice as well and is very knowledgeable when it comes to philosophy.

I took Capistran's intro to phil and am about to take him again for intro to logic. What an awesome guy! His course involves a lot of readings, but they are very interesting! The quizzes are all open note (based on reading homework) and tests are identical to review. He wants everyone to pass his class and always dismisses early. Great course!

His reviews are EXACTLY like his exams. They are EXTREMELY long but they are everything you need to ace the class with ease. For the people in the comments who are saying it takes 30 minutes to review, they are lying. The reviews have ALOT of information that takes days to memorize. There are quizzes every week and the answers are on Sparknotes.

This class was a challenge for me mainly because philosophy is difficult for me to understand, BUT not impossible. He makes you do assignments before lecturing about the material, which took some getting used to. He is a wonderful professor and explains well. Quizzes on assignments are every week or so and 4 exam (do the reviews, they help a ton).

This guy is one of the most eccentric professors I've ever taken, and he is hilarious. That being said, his class is no easy A. The reading assignments are probably going to be a challenge and his quizzes are right up there with them. His tests are super easy as long as you study his review, so just focus on the content and you'll pass.

An interesting professor. I loved the class even though it was EXTREMELY hard. He grades harshly and there is no room for procrastination, or slacking of any kind. Prepare for hours and hours of reading. Don't be afraid to ask questions and participate in class because he is good at clarifying and explaining things.

Capistran was awesome! I didn't like him at first, but he warms up to you. Tests are super easy, I didn't even study for them until 30 min before and I've gotten 99 and 94. If there were anything negative I could say, it's that I don't like that he calls on people. I have social anxiety, so if you don't mind talking in front of people, ignore that!

Dr. Capistran is a very good professor. He really knows what he's talking about and makes class fun. BUT, be sure to read all assigned pages before class because he WILL call on you. A lot of reading and homework assignments but not too hard. I took 15 hours that semester so it was a little tough to fit all the reading in, but great overall.

EASY class. Some reviews complain about the reading, but it isn't much. Usually it's 10pgs every week or 2 weeks, & you can use sparknotes or BS an answer. I skipped class a few times, but only on unimportant days (like movie days). Attendance is a grade. Tests are exactly like the reviews, so study for 30 minutes & you'll be fine.

So he gives quizzes at the beginning of class if he'd given out homework the class before (easy if you read). He is truly passionate and funny. His study guides are clear cut & helpful with test. You can easily make an A+ in his class if you do what it is expected. Awesome teacher, I recommend him & will definitely take him again!

Easy class, but be careful because he will accuse you of cheating if you even have 2 or 3 words similar to other people. Other than that. Very easy class

Gives lots of reading and sometimes kinda complex but thats for the homework which is for the quiz 1 question from the 10 question quiz test are straight from the review he gives doesn't like technology in his class, participation is a big role in grade and expect people to do their own work but funny guy interesting lectures would def take again!

MUST DO THE HW, they're the hardest thing you have to do in that class cause he gives quizzes on 1 of the questions and a LOT of reading. About 1013 quizzes are counted as 25% of your grade. He gives reviews which are basically the test, SUPER EASY. We watch Japanese films that are interesting. Interesting lectures! Doesn't allow technology use.
