Good news first - I learned a lot. Bad news is he is a completly self-important, egotistical jerk who offered no help. I almost had a stroke because I thought I was failing the entire semester until he gave a bunch of extra credit at the end. Thanks for taking 20 years off my life span idiot!!!

This instructor is hard but the people who said that he is unapprochable and does not respond to emails are incorrect. He has posted office hours and he is always there and he is more then willing to explain concepts. People that rate badly must expect accounting to be easy and not have to do work to pass class

He is retired and teaches like he is retired and doesn't care. The only bonus is that the classes are short. He would begin by saying "Everything that I could teach you is in the book or the notes. Any questions? Ok, let's go home". The tests are 100+questions and even if you read his notes and do problems from the book they are extremely difficult

Although he "lectures" and has several handouts on his website, I relied on the textbook/study guide HEAVILY. Do the HW (extra credit) and find a good group for the computer project. Exams are open book but if you don't have an idea on how to do the problems, notes are worthless. You're mostly teaching yourself in this class.

HE GIVES OPPORTUNITIES TO GET EXTRA POINTS (HW, PROJECTS, ETC.). SADLY,HE'S NOT VERY HELPFUL,DOESNT LECTURE,& GIVES TONS OF WORK (FOR XTRA CREDIT BUT U NEED TO DO IT IF U WANA PASS LOL). Chase is the best (and most demanding) teachere I've had. He provides excellent notes and practice tests; shows up early to class and stays late. If you do the work you do well. If you do the practice tests and the homework you'll do great. All the whiners must not have wanted to work, judging by their grades.

Ok...so I didn't pass his class and neither did 75% of the students who registered. This teacher does not teach accounting. If you can teach it to yourself I recommend this class, because homework is extra credit, class is not mandatory, and he provides a lot of info to help you...but you have to teach yourself to pass the class. I love chase!!! he is really laid back and sooo cool. he makes note for you and as long as you study his notes and the practice exams he gives you your sure to get a B and all homework is extra credit and he gives you the answers to that...take chase if you know how to study from notes he's not a lecture type teacher but he's great!!!

This teacher knows his subject and then some. Classes are not for the faint of heart. accounting is a ****bersome subject to those without prior knowledge, but it is thought provoking. This teacher used the text and then added reality in how the information can be used. I give him two thumbs up.

All I can say is that he is a total ****. More than half the class either got an "F" or a "D." What sucks is that this class is mandatory to graduate if you're a business major and there are no good Acct 310 teachers.

Due to the natural of accounting, it would be better to read the text book first, do the assigned homework, and then go to classes to ask questions to clarify anything hard to understand. However, he is nice, patient and really know what's accounting. Do you want to get an A? Practicing makes it possible.

it's a boring and hard class in general and he really doesn't make it easier. you don't learn much if u go to class... he's sort of mean when in reference to the class material but on a personal level he's a pretty cool guy... just not recommended for accounting..unlike most accounting classes u get a cheat sheet or u can use ur book during tests.

Dr. Chase enjoys doing random pull up sessions in the middle of class. When he's done he growls like a monkey and beats his chest. If you can beat him in a pull-up competition you can get an A, but he's a self proclaimed professional "pull-upper".
