Although Professor Fowler's class is very reading heavy, if you are truly interested in the topic of the course it will be easy to complete. His lectures are the best that I've ever listened to, but I recommend recording them because of how quickly he moves.

Amazing professor, you have to write ten papers over the course of the semester. If you go to the lectures and turn in your papers on time, you will get an A on the exams

Professor Fowler is an incredible person and teacher! I chose to take him for 2 courses (POLS 337 and POLS 332) because I appreciated his teaching style so much. His lectures are lecture only - he will talk from start to finish and you must take notes - but it taught me to be a better listener. Engage yourself in the work & your grade will be fine.

Dr. Fowler is my favorite professor at UofL. His lectures are so interesting and he tells the history of America like its the greatest story you've ever heard. You need to go to class because every lecture has tons of information. Reading supplements lectures. Make sure to keep up with when assignments are due--he will NOT remind you.

Dr. Fowler is an awesome professor. I wish I had been able to take more of his classes. He does require some homework, but its not difficult. The tests also require studying just because he covers so much material; but if you go to class, take notes, and do the assignments then you should do good in this class.

Fowler is difficult. He graduated from Harvard and has traveled the world. He's a very interesting guy. That being said, he is still extremely difficult. I took him for an honors seminar and this guy did not hold back. We had two 8 page papers and 4 three-page papers single spaced. He's really knowledgeable and offers a lot. Not an easy A though.

Fowler is a great professor. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and his lectures are interesting and fast-paced. The class covers a lot of material, but he offers more resources on that material (daily study guides, etc.) than any other professor I've had. If you go to class and go over the study guides he provides you'll do well in his class.

really great teacher. his lectures were really clear and easy to follow along with. probably one of the nicest professors I have had at U of L. Grades really hard on papers though especially on grammar and punctuation.

Very knowledgeable and passionate on the subject--gave an enjoyable an interesting lecture. A lot of work, though--the amt. of info. on the tests is pretty vast and you have to keep up on readings to do well. If you go to class and take notes, you should be alright, for the most part. . Overall, a tough class, but very interesting.

Dr. Fowler is an awesome teacher. Extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his subject. Also willing to accommodate and help students when needed. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who like Political Science.
