Professor is great! the lectures are heavy but he is well respected by his students. He is very understanding and he cares about his students. He has 2-3 essays throughout the class which aren't bad honestly, 5 page essay will do the trick but this man loves what he does. He has a strong passion for history.

He really is a gem and truly loves history. He is genuinely knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. He even adds rare, interesting facts to his lectures and puts on a video every class. I was never interested in history until now. Also,you only have 3 easy papers you can search and even submit late. Generous grader too. Got 96s on them.

I was wait listed to get into this class and am pretty happy I ended up getting a spot. Professor Galgano is well-respected by his students and was there for us if we ever needed advice or guidance. He is very lenient with grading and allowed students to turn in papers late. My one complaint is that the class was very boring at times.

Galgano deserves all of these positive reviews. Never have I taken such an easy class yet learned so much. There is not much work to speak of, but he conveys so much knowledge . Lectures are effortless, and are peppered with his rare knowledge of historical figures' personalitiesmotivations. Always has a smile on his face- solid guy, solid class.

Currently taking his presidential history class. He is a great professor, easy grader, no books are needed! He has such a passion for history and I love it (I'm a history major). Very funny and down to earth. I plan on taking more classes that he offers to teach. I highly recommend you take the class, lectures fly by and you get learn about America

Currently taking his class right now and he's such an amazing professor! He really does love history and enjoys lecturing about it! Also he is really generous and kind, such a sweet professor! I have taken him many times mainly because of how great of a person he is. He has such a passion for history and his classes may be a bit repetitive at times but if you come into class wanting to learn this is the class for you. He is a wonderful person/professor. I would take him many more times.

Very knowledgable teacher but his lectures are usually pretty boring. Gives take home papers instead of tests - including the final. If you want a teacher that loves American history, this is your guy. Don't bother getting the textbooks!! I got an 88+ on every paper without using a single one! Overall he's great as long as you love American history

This is honestly the best class I've ever taken at Hofstra. TAKE HIS CLASS. He is so passionate about what he teaches and it's so refreshing to have a professor who really loves it! Do him a favor and do the readings assigned! He grade a TON of papers and it's the least you can do! Contribute to the conversation! He's the best!

Professor Galgano is an amazing professor!! I've taken him 2 times and he is an easy grader. BUT what I love the most about his class is how excited he is about history, you can see he's truly passionate about the subject. I hope when I'm set in my career that ill have at least half of the passion and enthusiasm that he does!

Professor Galgano is an absolutely superb teacher. His lectures feel like story-time when you were a child. You sit there in awe while he makes history sound enthralling. He explains all events in thorough and spectacular detail. He also shows a lot of clips from documentaries and historical films. Summer Session I was a DREAM. Take him!

Professor Galgano is the most intellectual history professor I know. Ask him anything, and he'll explain it in great, great detail. He seems so enthusiastic always, and I highly recommend him whether you are a history major or not. Galgano is one of the best professor I've had at Hofstra, and if you're looking an easy A, take him.

Professor Galgano is the best! he is always well dressed and has a big smile on his face. Speaks well, lectures and then shows you a video. The papers arent bad and he is a good grader. He is very nice and I highly reccomend him. He works with you if you have any issues about papers or work. He is probobly my favorite professor at Hofstra. TAKE HIM
