He rambles on and on and you never know what you're supposed to know and what he's just ranting about. I have so many notes that aren't even relevant to this class, and am lacking information I need for the exams. His exams are also very biased towards his opinion. If you disagree with him politically, you probably won't do well. Lot's of reading

Very poor professor. It's very hard to pass his test even though you read, study, and know the material. The tests are too tricky.

Despite what you might here, he is nice if you just listen and don't ask bad questions (i.e., questions that he just answered). The only grades are three 50-questions multiple choice tests (with tricky questions). 25 questions are from lecture, 25 from reading. He is also gone on conferences a lot throughout the semester.

Great Teacher!Tests are 50% lectures and 50% book reading. Tests are pretty difficult but if you do the work, it's self explanatory. He likes those who ask good questions and participate and will show mercy at the end of the semester for those students. EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the subject. some people don't like him because they are lazy

At first i thought he was a really cool teacher and cared about his students but was i wrong! If you do poorly on a test you have to make an appointment to see him and talk about it. He asked what my major was and then laughed in my face and said he thought people in that field were supposed to be smart. I dropped out. Take someone else.

Thought he was a great professor, kept the subject entertaining while still teaching you a lot. The only downside is he makes his tests really tricky and they are very hard to do good on even if you know all the material covered. Loved the class and learned a lot of information but in the end didn't do to good due to his tests.

Don't take him if you can avoid it. His exams are seriously 10 years old, the questions no longer suit our current society. Plus, they're ridiculous. I studied for a month for his exam and made a C. Do yourself a favor and avoid.

Do not take him. The tests are ridiculous. He will tell you that he intends to trick you. There are only 3 exams, and no other way to improve your grade. He is very intelligent, but I did not like him as a professor because he didn't care if students failed or succeeded in the class.

I'm an honors student and took him for American Gov't. He goes off on tangents about nothing. The tests are ridiculously hard, and he tricks you on purpose. Consistently on every exam, about half my class would fail. I had to study for hours and hours to barely get an A. There are much better professors for poli-sci at Tech.

I had him for American Government and International Relations. His American Gov. class is fine. His tests in Am. Gov. are multiple choice and you will do fine if you just read the text and show up to class to take notes. As for his other classes, his essay tests are HARD. Take Dr.Maxwell or rodp instead. It is worth the extra fee for some RODP.

He is a great teacher. I took every class he has tought at tech and enjoyed ever one of them. I highly reccomend him. Attendence is req and you are called opon to answer question, but your grade is rewarded for it. If you have good atten. Easy B. 5 star professor.

A rambler. Reminded me of the professor from Futurama. Took class attendance regularly. Little to no contribution to the learning process. Uses a large amount of political jargon on the exams. The exams were fuzzy, hard-to-read. On trips overseas for the majority of the semester. Do NOT take if you have trouble with politics. Take it online.
