Everyone that takes Hamas for Zoo seems to hate him. I think that Zoo is too large a class, and he is a better prof when there are fewer people. If you can take his classes that are higher level and that have fewer students, I would take it.

Do NOT take this class if you plan on taking other hard courses at the same time. Taking Human Anatomy and Zoology at the same time is academic torture!!! For BIO218 studying frequently is necessary! There is a LOT of information, and it comes fast paced. Be prepared to lose sleep, and to hit the books hard. Hamas isn't bad - the course is.

Worst Class EVER! I heard he had the highest drop rate at CMU, it's true! I dropped the class as well as other ppl I knew! THANK GOD! studied ALOT for this class, did everything that would help me get a decent grade. Still was failing! His tests are impossible!!! the lab paper topic is pointless! Changed my major after this class!

He knows what he is talking about and is very enthuesiastic about what he teaches. Not a bad prfessor at all and in fact one of the more interesting. He doesn't use huge words all the time to try to impress everyone but explains things so that they are easy to understand. Lots of information however and tough tests. Go to class and study frequently

Dr. Hamas knows his stuff. The class is very hard, and while attendance is not mandatory, you must go. You also must study...alot. There is no way around it. Work hard and you will get an A. He is not as bad as some people make him out to be on here.

You have to know everything that he teaches for the exams to the smallest detail. Exams are very hard. He seems to be passionate about zoology. It is interesting, but very had. Start studying right away...at least 4 days before a test.

This man cares aobut no one but himself. His tests are point blank ridiculous! The average for all the exams was a 50 percent. He offers no help when you are confused, instead tells you to "read the book,and your notes" This mand is just a horrible prof. He should not be teaching. If you are interested in the course, just take it with some one else

this man just doesn't take the time to teach you what you need to know! he only teaches a general array of topics. very confusing teacher but the only way you can get an idea on how to study for his exams is by talking to him he gives you no study guide but he give u lecture notes it's ok i guess.

Horrid class, its tought like we are all in advanced medical school classes or something. Lab is easy,but the lecture tests cover prabably 10 percent of all chapters assigned,if you know a broad knowlege throughout for example 7 assigned chapters, the teacher picks specific details from ten% of it.

Worst prof ever! While the lectures are interesting, his tests are worded in a trick question form and the class average was always a 25/50 on all the exams! The only thing that saved my class was the awesome lab instructors who offered extra credit!
