Harris couldn't come on the first day because of his kid's graduation, so he sent his TA's to give us a little scare to make us think the class was hard. But one of them slipped! He said "If you come to all the lectures and do all the hw's, you'll pass". Yup, that just about sums it up. Lectures are entertaining and hw is simple enough. Fun & easy.

Very caring, funny, and intelligent professor, would take any class with him again. He "takes attendance" through the tests, asking questions specific to the lectures. Very helpful to students, and can make most subjects very interesting, making students want to learn

If you are in need of a "Foundations in Global Citizenship" credit, definitely take Professor Harris' ANT2410 Culture and Society class. I always enjoyed his lectures and he's hilarious. I'm so glad I took this class and he made me question if I should change my major to Anthropology :)

This man is amazing. Anthropology is not my major but he made it super interesting. He didnt focus so much on the material in the textbook, but more on his experience and knowledge as an anthropologist. So quizzes were weird bc you had to remember all the wild conversations in class. Great. Fun. Enjoyable. Easy. Take notes!

Honestly, one of the best professors i've ever had! He says things in a way everyone can understand. Also, the man is hilarious and had me laughing every class. Just make sure to take good notes and pay attention. Tests are written: 2 essays, 2 short paragraphs, and identifications. It's really not as bad as it sounds! He curves every test!

Very funny guy, cares a lot about what his students have to say/think. Lectures can go off topic, but are never boring. Strict grader for papers, and you have to really read the material for quizzes, but otherwise it's an easy class.

Took Environment and Disease as a freshman. To this day his class has impacted me the most in my college career. As long as you went to class and read the book you did well. Very informative and understanding. Tests were complicated but you were able to give broad answers. Made me love anthropology. Planning on taking him again.

Do yourself a favor; take Dr. Harriss class.* Dr. Harris is very funny and receptive. Dr. Harris makes great visuals (from maps and ships to grasslands and forests), and values interaction. Professors who foster curiosity are the best. I loved being able to raise my hand and ask questions freely. *Dr. Harris makes serious learning seriously fun.

One of my favorite teachers from the first semester. Helped me out in a huge way at the beginning of the semester when he did not have to at all. Funny and passionate about what he is teaching. Very clear cut about what he expects in his assignments. Great professor.

Dr. Harris's classes are a MUST take for Anthropology majors. He really cares about his students and what they have to say and speaks to everyone as intellectuals. He's not afraid to crack jokes and keep the topics interesting. He's a tough grader but he curves everything and is VERY generous at the end of the semester. You WON'T regret him!

Hands down, he was been my favorite professor so far. He explains everything so clearly, and takes the time to make meaningful jokes that actually get the entire class busting out in laughter. He actually persuaded me to change my major simply by what he teaches. I would recommend any student to take his class.

Very opinionated professor who knows how to teach! If you are an auditory learner, take one of his classes! Read the text, listen in class and you can get a great grade. Not sure whether some of his comments are meant to test whether students are listening or not. Maybe its good to get offended.

Great speaker, uses good examples and tries his best to make things relatable. My issue is with his attendance policy. He makes it seem mandatory, but then scales final grades in a way that makes it so if you do just barely above average on the tests, you don't need the attendance points to pass.

good teacher, makes class interesting but very opinionated.sounded to me like he was pushing communism. teachers should not use their position as a platform for politcs. mostly essay test
