Dr. H is always willing to meet with you if you have questions and hands out study guides that are really similar to the exam and holds review sessions. A lot of homework, but it's really easy and doesn't take long. Lectures can be kind of dry, but other than that, it's a pretty easy class.

Dr.H gives notes for every class and everything is laid out there, review sheets for tests and such. Tests and assignments are slightly hard. He comes off harsh when asking him questions after class. He is knowledgeable in his area and always fills us in with details of his favorite vice president, Schuyler Colfax.

Notes are tricky. His research methods (psc 217) class is really really really really hard. A lot like math. His PSC 103 class is simpler, but tests are essay format, so that can be tricky if your not good at essays, but the class is great.

The class material is pretty boring, but Haselswerdt is an awesome prof. He does not discriminate for not agreeing with his political views. In fact, I found if you can back up your arguments, he will like you more than those who agree with him but cannot back themselves up. Has great stories and there is no attendence policy.

Hes liberal but is still nice to conservatives. Not a lot of work but his tests are sort of hard. Make sure on the tests that you state your opinion more then the facts he likes that, even if u do disagree with him. I wish i learned that before i took the first two tests.

He's a great guy and tells the best stories, like ones about shooting out a truck window at road signs and ones about protesting. He presents the material in a very clear way on his powerpoints and has no attendance policy - I liked comming to class though.

He's a very nice guy and i Like him, but you'll have a tough time doing well in his class if he doesnt like you or disagrees with you. I've given him no reason to dislike me and I work hard in his class but dont get good grades- I'm conservative. I dont recommend him cuz thats not fair for a teacher

Awesome guy, always willing to help, extremely clear expectations..217 is definitely the hardest, tests are impossible and material is difficult..but Haselswerdt is the best teacher to help you get through it. Really great professor, so knowledgeable and really cares about his students

Although VERY liberal, Dr. Haselswerdt is a great teacher who explains the course material with enthusiasm and detail. He makes sure his students understand the material, and he doesn't look down on conservative students like some profs. His essay tests get old, though.
