Comment:
Dr. Wadkins is one of Canisius' best professors - hands down! Get to know him outside of class, because his sense of humor is awesome. Easy to get along with, although expects a lot out of his students. Classes are very dependent on papers. If you are not a strong writer, you may struggle.

Overall he's a good guy and has a lot of insight into different religions without preaching to you. Can be unclear about the assignments. Due dates moved a bunch during the course and some of the assignments didn't have much to do with what we were doing in class at the time.

He is a really great professor who will take an interest in your grade if you take an interest in the class. There are only 2 exams and they are both fairly easy if you study and there is one major project that seems difficult but is actually really easy to do. Overall, great class with a pretty funny professor

Dr. Wadkins is a phenomenal professor. He is funny and respects his students a lot and does not give much homework. Going to class isn't a pain because he is such a great professor. 10/10 would recommend for anyone.

A lot of reading every week and then a short essay on those readings every week. It's time consuming and stressful. His lectures are clear and funny! I didn't expect to enjoy the topic, but I did. The amount of reading and writing was just overwhelming some weeks when I had a lot from my other classes too. Tough exams. Take good notes!

Dr. Wadkins made religion very easy. Go to class and write down as much info from the power points as you can because that is exactly what is tested on. Talk to him during office hours and he will proof read your papers and help you out. Tests are very easy if you study and have a general idea of religion.

The lectures are really easy to understand and he somehow is usually able to make them interesting. There are no tests during the semester, only discussion essays that are 2 pages long each, they take about 2 hours each and there are 8 you have to do, so not bad. The only bad thing is there is a lot of work at the end of the semester.

Dr Wadkins is a great teacher. He is really clear in his lectures and treats religious studies from a historical point of view. He is aware of the fact that no one generally would pick religious studies if it wasn't mandatory.

Just an easy class because of how amazing he is as a professor. I recommend everyone to take him as a religion professor you learn a lot with out having to do a lot outside of class. Just the 10 page field research project gets annoying at times.

Dr. Wadkins is not the professor you want to choose voluntary. He is very wishy-washy with his course objectives and does not follow along with his syllabus well. He is disorganized and lectures all class. The class is boring and difficult to get an A in.

Professor Wadkins is extremely nice, he's willing to help on papers (as long as you see him ~a week before it's due), and has a dry sense of humor that keeps the class going. Overall, he's a nice guy. He teaches a little fast but lectures off the readings. The midterm and final are straight forward. I personally enjoyed his class, would recommend

Very witty, fun, enjoyable guy. Makes the class go bye quickly. The class in my opinion was easy. Just do well on the three essays you have and the midterm/final. There is no way you can't get a grade higher than a B if you just study and read. He is the best RST 101 teacher, I'm probably the only student on my floor who has an actual passing grade

Not too bad. About 7 books that you need to read. :( 2 exams and 3 short papers (3-5 pages). Attendance is required but you may skip more than 3 lol. Optional extra credits. He is pretty funny and talkative. His lecture moves really fast and you have to write down what hes saying like a rocket!

He is enjoyable and well-spoken. He cracks a lot of witty jokes and makes the class laugh generally every day. Make somehting very dull, interesting. Not entirely necessary to read, but it certainly helps. He is very well-respected around the campus and everyone I know that has had him, has absolutely loved him! Take him.

I really enjoyed his class. There is a ton of reading, but I always put it off and still did pretty well. If you work hard, you'll do wonderfully in his class. He's a nice, funny, sarcastic guy, who's willing to help with any problems.

Dr. Wadkins is an excellent teacher. He has the rare combination of humor (dryish), great intelligence, and patience. His assignments are challenging and require alot of work and time. The payoff, however, is more than worth it, even if you are not pursuing a major/career in religion

Dr. Wadkins is a great professor. Even though you will learn a great deal of information from him, he is very laid back. He has a good sense of humor and likes to show videos. By the way, there will almost certainly be various class cancellations as well.

Loved his dry sense of humor. Takes a bit of getting used to, but one comes to love it. Course material is reletively easy to master and most test material is straight from lecture and not lost in translation.
