Love love love love Mike. He's a tough cookie to crack but if you do good work you can earn his respect. You need to work hard because Mike will know if you don't and he will call you out on it. He trusts his students and that's something you should cherish.

Mike is THE best professor I have ever had. He cares about his students. He wants you to learn and he wants you to progress. He is very straight forward and all but maybe 4 days are studio days. He is funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. You really can't ask for a better professor.

I have mike again this semester! Sculpture last semester changed my life. He is so willing to help you become a better artist and really knows his stuff. He's funny yet is pretty demanding and isn't afraid to tell you how it is. A refreshing change from other profs that dance around criticism. Sculpture is the backbone of UPS art!

He is really willing to push you as an artist. He wants you to do better, to have perfect craftsmanship and doesn't sugarcoat his criticisms. I'm a much better artist for taking classes with him. Expect some all-nighters if you don't work hard enough in class.

Micheal Johnson is entirely unprofessional. On one project he said he did not believe I would be able to do better if I did it agian. He spent the majority of class in his office and I talked to him about a project no more than 3 times over the course of the semester. It is to bad that all art students are forced to take a class with him.

Mike was amazing, and everyone in our class loved him. He didn't spend much time lecturing, he just gave us the directions and trusted us to complete the assignments. Almost every class period was studio time. On our last day, everyone went up and shook Mike's hand and thanked him for the semester. We all respected him a lot.

Hell yeah! He will do everything in his power to help, provide a great challenge, tell you the truth straight-up, and entertain you along the way. Sweet and tough. I love this guy.
